CONSENT AGENDA All items listed with an asterisk are considered routine by the Village Board and will be enacted by one motion. There will be no separate discussion of those items unless a Board member, or resident from the audience, so requests, in which event the item will be removed from the Consent Agenda and considered in its normal sequence on the agenda. OLD BUSINESS A. ZBA 34-01, 1801 Boulder Drive, Residence 2nd reading of AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A VARIATION FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1801 BOULDER DRIVE This ordinance grants variations to allow a shed with a non-conforming setback and size, and easement exceptions. The Zoning Board of Appeals, on October 25, 2001, recommended denial of the request by a vote of 7-0, therefore a super-majority vote is required by the Village Board for approval. (This case was deferred from the May 7, 2002 meeting). ZBA 32-01, 1431 Blackhawk Drive, Residence 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A VARIATION FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1431 BLACKHAWK DRIVE This ordinance grants variations to allow a shed with a non-conforming setback and size, and easement exceptions. The Zoning Board of Appeals, on October 25, 2001, recommended denial of the request by a vote of 5-1, and on January 24, 2002 at the request of the petitioner, the Planning and Zoning Commission deferred the case. Because of the recommendation for denial, a super-majority vote is required by the Village Board for approval. (This case was deferred from the May 7, 2002 meeting). (Exhibit B) (Exhibit C) Xl. NEW BUSINESS A. ~A RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 40-02 AUTHORIZING THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT TO ADOPT AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT WITH RIVER TRAILS PARK DISTRICT FOR GOVERNMENT ACCESS CABLE TV SERVICE PRODUCTION This resolution authorizes the Village to enter into a revised agreement with the River Trails Park District. The original agreement had a term that extended through December 31, 2003. River Trails Park District has requested that the term be revised to December 31, 2002; they will consider renewal at the end of this year. ~PC-07-01, Loft Subdivision, 303 & 307 E. Kensington Road A RESOLUTION APPROVING A FINAL PLAT OF RESUBDIVISION FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 303 & 307 EAST KENSINGTON ROAD This resolution allows the resubdivision of two lots of record, as required by Ordinance No. 5103 (4/8/00), which granted Conditional Use approval for a fast-food drive-thru restaurant. The Planning and Zoning Commission has recommended approval of the request by a vote of 4-0. (Exhibit D) (Exhibit E) PZ-22-02,419 Ojibwa Trail, Residence 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE GRANTING VARIATIONS FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 419 OJIBWA TRAIL This ordinance grants a variation for the construction of an attached 2-car garage encroaching into the required side yard. The Planning and Zoning Commission has recommended approval by a vote of 4-0. PZ-24-02,915 S. Owen Street, Residence 1. The petitioner has requested a variation from Section 14.306.B. 1 of the Village Code to allow the construction of a garage (768 sq. ft.) larger than that allowed by Code, which is 672 square feet. The Planning and Zoning Commission voted 4-0 to approve the request and is final on this case; the case has been appealed by the Director of Community Development to allow the Village Board to further consider the request. 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A VARIATION FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 915 SOUTH OWEN STREET This ordinance grants a variation to allow a 768 square foot garage to encroach within a five-foot (5') interior side yard. The Planning and Zoning Commission has recommended approval by a vote of 4-0. ~A RESOLUTION IN OPPOSITION TO THE ESTABLISHMENT OF CERTAIN BUSINESS ESTABLISHMENTS IN UNINCORPORATED COOK COUNTY This resolution documents the Village's opposition to a tattoo parlor at 2501 E. Oakton Street, in unincorporated Cook County. The Village has the right to intervene in zoning cases pending in unincorporated Cook County that are within one and one-half miles of our municipal boundaries. This resolution requests that the proposed establishment be required to comply with Mount Prospect regulations governing the operation of a tattoo parlor. (Exhibit F) (Exhibit G) (Exhibit H) XlI. VILLAGE MANAGER'S REPORT A. *Bid results: 1. Three 35,000 GVVV truck chassis (State bid, $146,900) 2. One l-ton truck chassis (State bid $23,500) *Request for Board approval to renew contract with Direct Response for printing and mailing of vehicle stickers January 1, 2003 through December 31, 2005 ($38,290.80) *Request for Board approval to renew contract with Third Millennium Associates for printing and mailing of utility bills January 1, 2003 through December 31, 2005 ($67,896.00) *Request for Board approval for the extension of existing highway maintenance agreement with the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT).
