There will be no separate discussion of those items unless a Board member, or resident from the audience, so requests, in which event the item will be removed from the Consent Agenda and considered in its normal sequence on the agenda. OLD BUSINESS A. PZ-13-02,791 East Rand Road, Insignia Townhomes 1. 2nd reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 791 EAST RAND ROAD This ordinance approves the rezoning of property from R-1 (Single Family Residence) to R2 (Attached Single Family Planned Unit Development). The Planning and Zoning Commission has recommended approval by a vote of 5-1. (At the request of the petitioner, this case will be deferred to the August 20, 2002 meeting). 2nd reading of AN ORDINANCE GRANTING VARIATIONS AND A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT IN THE NATURE OF A PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 791 EAST RAND ROAD This ordinance grants a Conditional Use permit for a Planned Unit Development of 23 townhomes, and variations for front stoops on each unit and a parking setback. The Planning and Zoning Commission has recommended approval by a vote of 5-1. (At the request of the petitioner, this case will be deferred to the August 20, 2002 meeting). *PZ-18-02, Text Amendment, Village of Mount Prospect 2nd reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 14 (ZONING) OF THE VILLAGE CODE This ordinance amends Section 14.2211 to remain in compliance with recently revised Federal regulations relative to handicapped parking. The Planning and Zoning Commission has recommended approval by a vote of 6-0. (Exhibit A) (Exhibit B) (Exhibit C) Xl. NEW BUSINESS A. PZ-15-02, 1020 E. Rand Road, Citgo Gas Station/Convenience Store 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT AND VARIATION FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1020 EAST RAND ROAD This ordinance grants a Conditional Use permit to redevelop an existing Shell gas station with convenience mart, and a variation for the encroachment of a canopy into the required setbacks, along the north and south property lines. The Planning and Zoning Commission has recommended approval of the petitioner's request with by a vote of with 6-0. (Exhibit D) PZ-21-02,309 S. Edward Street, Residence 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 309 SOUTH EDWARD STREET This ordinance grants a Conditional Use permit for the construction of an unenclosed porch encroaching into the required front yard setback. The Planning and Zoning Commission has recommended approval with a vote of 6-0. PZ-19-02, Text Amendment, Village of Mount Prospect 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 14 (ZONING) OF THE VILLAGE CODE OF MOUNT PROSPECT This ordinance grants amendments to Chapter 14 (Zoning) of the Village Code which would increase the maximum fence height around utility sites, and would allow utility sites to install barbed wire fencing. The Planning and Zoning Commission has recommended denial of both requests by votes of 5-0. *A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT TO ADOPT AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT WITH RIVER TRAILS PARK DISTRICT FOR GOVERNMENT ACCESS CABLE TV SERVICE PRODUCTION A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A LEASE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE RIVER TRAILS PARK DISTRICT AND THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT FOR OFFICE SPACE AT 550 BUSINESS CENTER DRIVE This resolution authorizes the Village to enter into a lease agreement for the Mount Prospect Human Services Department to occupy 4,300 square feet of office space at 550 Business Center Drive during construction of the new village hall.
