ORDINANCE NO. 3508
~N ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF CERTAIN PERSONAL
PROPERTY OWNED BY THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT
~HEREAS, in the opinion of at least three-fourths of the
~orporate authorities of the Village of Mount Prospect,
2ook County, Illinois, it is no longer necessary, useful
Dr in the best interests of the Village of Mount Prospect
Lo retain one (1) L933 Chevrolet/Howe Fire Truck,
Serial No. 21PB04 presently owned by said Village; and
4HEREAS, it is deemed to be in the best interests of the
Village of Mount Prospect that the personal property
~escribed herein be sold; and
~HEREAS, the personal property being the subject of this
Drdinance is of a specialized nature and as such has no
specific market value; and
qHEREAS, various quotes were requested from parties that
~ould be interested in the purchase of this type of apparatus
~hich resulted in one firm offer to purchase; and
~HEREAS, Charles S. Kelley of Barrington Hills, Illinois
Nas submitted an offer to purchase the subject fire truck
for $1,500 and has placed with the Village a deposit of
1200 as earnest money; and
;HEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village
Df Mount Prospect have determined it to be in the best interest
Df the Village of l.[ount Prospect that any bidding procedure
in order to sell personal property be waived and that the
1933 Chevrolet/Howe fire truck be sold to Charles S. Kelley
Df Barrington Hills, Illinois for a total cost of $1,500.00.
~OW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
FRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: That the recitials set forth above are incorporated
herein as findings of fact by the President and Board of Trustees
Df the Village of l.~ount Prospect.
sEcTIoN TWO: That the President and Board of Trustees of
the Village of Mount Prospect do hereby waive bidding
~rocedures and authorize the sale of the subject personal
~roperty, one (1) 1933 Chevrolet/Howe fire truck,
~erial No. 21PB04 to Charles Kelley of Barrington Hills,
Illinois, and that authorization is hereby given to execute
khe necessary doc~r, ents to convey title of the subject personal
~roperty to Charles Kelley.
:ECTION THREE: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and
~ffect from and after its passage, approval and publication in
~amphlet form in the manner provided by law.
