AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF SPECIFIED PERSONAL PROPERTY OWNED BY THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT WHEREAS, in the opinion of at least three-fourths (3/4) of the corporate authorities of the Village of Mount Prospect, it is no longer necessary or useful to or for the best interests of the Village of Mount Prospect, to retain ownership of the personal property hereinafter described; and WHEREAS, it has been determined by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect to sell said personal property. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: SECTION ONE: That, pursuant to Section 11-76-4 of %he Illinois Municipal Code, Ill. Rev. The above listed vehicles are keing sold in an "AS IS" condition. SECTION TWO: That pursuant to the Statutes made and provided, the Village Manager is hereby authorized and directed to sell the aforementioned personal property now owned by the Village of Mount Prospect, to the highest biddger, or the qualified bid as determined by the village Manager. Sale said shall be conducted through the receipt of sealed bids. SECTION THREE: That the Village Manager is hereby authorized and directed to advertise the sale of the aforementioned personal property in a newspaper with general circulation within the Village of Mount Prospect no less than ten (10) days prior to the date of said bid opening. SECTION FOUR: That the Village of Mount Prospecr reserves the right to reject any and all bids. SECTION FIVE: That the Village Manager is hereby authorized and directed to enter into an agreement for the sale of said personal g 2 of~ property which sale shall be advertised by publishing the following notice at least once in the Daily Herald, which shall be in substantially the following form: notice NOTICE OF SALE DISPOSAL OF SURPLUS PROPERTY Sealed bids will be accept at the Office of the Village Manager, Village of Mount Prospect, 100 South Emerson Street, up to 10:00 A.M. Bids will be opened in the Office of the Village Manager at 10:00 A.M. on June 19, 1985. Bids will be accepted on one or more of the above vehicles individually, or on the total group as a whole. Inspection of the listed vehicles may be made by contacting the Office of the Police Chief, Village of Mount Prospect, 112 East Northwest Highway, Mount Prospect, Illinois 60056. Bids must be on the form provided by the ~illage of Mount Prospect. Proposal forms and information on the vehicles may be secured from the Police Chief.
