HomeMy WebLinkAboutRes 27-85 05/21/1985 r.., '\ J ... .', , RESOLUTION NO. 27-RS A RESOLUTION HONORiNG DEPUTY FIRE CHIEF JAMES J. HILLIGER ON THE OCCASION OF HIS RETIREMENT WHEREAS, JAMES J. HILLIGER became a sworn member of the Mount Prospect Fire Department on January 1, 1963¡ and WHEREAS, JAMES J. HILLIGER was promoted to the position of Lieutenant in the Mount Prospect Fire Department on July 9, 1966; and WHEREAS, on March 5, 1971, JAMES J. HILLIGER was promoted to the position of Captain, becoming the first person to fill that newly created rank of Captain in the Mount Prospect Fire Department; and WHEREAS, JAMES J. HILLIGER attained the rank of Deputy Fire Chief on August 1, 1974, once again being promoted to a newly created position and has held the rank of Deputy Fire Chief until the present; and WHEREAS, the Mount Prospect Fire Department will be celebrating its 25th Anniversary as a paid Department this year and JAMES J. HILLIGER, being one of the first members of the Fire Department, was a part of the growth of the Village and as an active member of the Department was involved in the progress made by the Mount Prospect Fire Department within the fire service nationwide, resulting in the excellent reputation and respect it has attained. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: SECTION ONE: That the Mayor and Board of Trustees acknowledge the many contributions of JAMES J. HILLIGER as a member of the Mount Prospect Fire Department for over 23 years. SECTION TWO: That upon the occasion of his retirement, the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect, as well as fellow members of the Fire Department, and those who have become acquainted with JAMES J. HILLIGER express our appreciation and best wishes for his retirement. SECTION THREE: That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval in the manner provided by law.
