RESOLUTION NO.
51-85
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF
WORD PROCESSING EQUIPMENT
WHEREAS, a Committee appointed to investigate the feasibility
of word processing equipment for the Village of Mount Prospect
has determined that word processing equipment will help to
improve the productivity of Village business; and
WHEREAS, proposala were sought and received in 1984 from three
suppliers of word processing equipment; and
WHEREAS, upon reviewing the proposals submitted in order to
facilitate the requirements of the Village using word
processing equipment, it was the determination of the Word
Processing Committee that the proposal submitted for Exxon
word processing equipment was the equipment most suited to the
needs of the Village.
WHEREAS, the Village has purchased Exxon word processing
equipment for various locations; and
WHEREAS, reconditioned Exxon equipment is available from
Sentinel Office Automation Services, Inc. at a substantial
savings.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: The Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of
Mount Prospect hereby authorize the Village Manager to accept
the proposal submitted by Sentinel Office Automation Services, Inc.
for word processing equipment in an amount not to exceed $9,600.00
SECTION TWO: The Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of
Mount Prospect do hereby waive the bidding requirements in order
to purchase this specialized word processing equipment from
Sentinel Office Automation Systems, Inc.
SECTION THREE: This Resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval in the manner
provided by law.
