Published in pamphlet form by authority of the corporate authorities of the Village of Mount Prospect, Illinois, the 7th day of May ~986. RDINANCE NO. 3647 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF CERTAIN PERSONAL PROPERTY OWNED BY THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT WHEREAS, in the opinion of at least three-fourths of the corporate authorities of the Village of Mount Prospect, Illinois, it is no longer necessary, useful, or in the best interests of the Village of Mount Prospect to retain ownership of the personal property hereinafter described; and WHEREAS, it has been determined by the President and Board of Trustees of the village of Mount Prospect that the best interests of the Village would be served by the sale of the subject personal property. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: SECTION ONE: In accordance with the provisions of Section 11"-76-4 of Chapter 24 of the Illinois Revised Statutes, the corporate authorities of the Village of Mount Prospect find that the items of personal property being the subject of this Ordinance owned by the Village of Mount Prospect are no longer useful or necessary to said Village, and said property is therefore surplus property and the best interests of the Village will be served by its sale. SECTION TWO: That the Village Clerk of the Village of Mount Prospect be and is hereby directed to cause a public notice advertising for bids for such personal property to be published in the Mount Prospect Herald, which notice shall be in substantially the following form: NOTICE TO BIDDERS NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Village of Mount Prospect will accept bids at the Office of the Village Manager, 100 South Emerson Street, Mount Prospect, Illinois 60056 until 10:00 A.M. on May 29, 1985, for the following: 4 Federal Twinsonic visa-bars model 12 2 Federal Twinsonic visa-bars model 12 2 Unity RV26 Rotating Lights MEF Series A3-12 MY Series A1-A Ail equipment is being sold in an 'as is' condition. The Village of Mount Prospect offers no warranty, express or implied, as to the condition or serviceability of the equipment. The bidder assumes full responsibility for the equipment at the time of taking possession. Bids must be marked "PROPOSAL FOR POLICE EQUIPMENT". Full instructions to bidders are available at the Police Department, 112 E. Northwest Highway, Mount Prospect, Il. The Village reserves the right to reject any and all bids. Carol A. SECTION SIX: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication in pamphlet form as provided by law.
