Published in pamphlet form by authority of the corporate authorities of the Village of Mount Prospect, Illinois, the 5th day of December , 1985. RDINANCE NO. 3590 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF CERTAIN PERSONAL PROPERTY OWNED BY THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT WHEREAS, in the opinion of at least three-fourths of the corporate authorities of the Village of Mount Prospect, Illinois, it is no longer necessary, useful, or in the best interests of the Village of Mount Prospect to retain specified vehicles as listed on the attached Exhibit "A" presently owned by the Village of Mount Prospect; and WHEREAS, it is deemed to be in the best interests of the Village of Mount Prospect that the personal property listed on Exhibit "A" attached hereto be sold to the highest qualified bidder. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: SECTION ONE: In accordance with the provisions of S'ect~on 11~76-4 of Chapter 24 of the Illinois Revised Statutes, the corporate authorities of the Village of Mount Prospect find that the items of personal property being the subject of this Ordinance owned by the Village of Mount Prospect are no longer useful or necessary to said Village, and said property is therefore surplus property and the best interests of the Village will be served by its sale. SECTION TWO: That the Village Clerk of the Village of Mount Prospect be' and is hereby directed to cause a public notice advertising for bids for such personal property to be published in the Mount Prospect Herald, which notice shall be in substantially the following form: " NOTICE OF SALE NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Village of Mount Prospect will receive bids at the Office of the Village Manager, 100 South Emerson Street, Mount Prospect, Illinois 60056 until 10:00 A.M. on December 16th, 1985, for the purchase of the following items owned by the Village of Mount Prospect: 1. 1973 Chevrolet Ambulance White/Orange 2. 1977 Dodge Monaco Gold 3. 1983 Chevrolet Malibu Blk/White *4. 1983 Chevrolet Malibu Blk/White 5. 1983 Chevrolet Malibu Blk/Hhite 6. 1983 Chevrolet Malibu Blk/White 7. t983 Chevrolet Malibu Blk/White 8. 1983 Chevrolet Malibu Blk/White 9. 1983 Chevrolet Malibu Blk/White 10. 1983 Chevrolet Malibu Blk/White Van Serial #CGY353U186583 4dr. Bids will be opened in the Office of the Mount Prospect Village Manager at 10:00 A.M., C.D.S.T., December 16th, 1985, at 100 S. Emerson Street, Mount Prospect, Illinois, 60056. Bids will be accepted on one or more of the above vehicles individually, or on the total group as a whole. Inspection of the above listed vehicles may be made by contacting Officer Steven Leonard, Village of Mount Prospect, 112 East Northwest Highway, Mount Prospect, Illinois, 60056. For additional information, call (312) 870-5656, extension 307 or 305. Bids are to be made according to the Instruction to Bidders on file with the Office of the Mount Prospect Village Clerk. Bids must be on the form provided by the Village of Mount Prospect. Proposal forms and information on the vehicles may be obtained from the Office of the Mount Prospect Chief of Police. The Village of Mount Prospect reserves the right to reject any and all bids. Carol A. SECTION FOUR: That within ten (10) days after a b~d is accepted, the successful bidder shall tender to the Village the consideration specified in the bid accepted and upon receipt of such consideration, the Village Manager is hereby authorized to transfer the title of said to the successful bidder. SECTION FIVE: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication in pamphlet form in the manner provided by law.
