Bicycle Safety Program The top priority for the Spring Bicycle Safety Program is getting a location and setting a date. Nora Gawlik to check with the River Trails Park District about the second weekend in May. Once the location and date are set, Nora Gawlik suggested assigned members to work in pairs to contact various businesses and organizations to participate in the event. Alex Oplawski will email Youth Commission members for their suggestions for the names of businesses and organizations to contact. OTHER BUSINESS Brins! a Friend to the Youth Commission Nora Gawlik participated and brought a friend. Email Clarification Adult Advisor George Clowes suggested Village Clerk Lisa Angell explain We rules of email exchanges that affect members of Boards and Commissions. Adult Advisor Steven Polit reported that the Village Clerk would be going out to tell all Village Boards and Commissions about how new laws affect the exchange of cillails, texts, and phone calk among elected or appointed government officials. Youth View Adult Advisor George Clowes asked Youth Commission members to email him with suggestions for topics to be covered on Youth View that would sustain a half hour of discussion. FOOD PURCHASE Michael Boivin is scheduled for the food purchase for the February meeting. MOTION TO ADJOURN Nora Gawlik, seconded by Alex Oplawski, moved to adjourn the January 04, 2012 meeting of the Mount Prospect Youth Commission. The motion carried by unanimous approval. MEETING ADJOURNED Chairman Adam Kiel adjourned the meeting at 8:38 p.m. January 04, 2012 Page 4 of 4
