The meeting called for the purpose of a Closed Session was convened at 10:15 p.m.,
in the third floor Executive Conference Room of Village Hall, 50 South". Emerson, by
Mayor Irvana Wilks. Those present at the Closed Session were: Trustees Paul Hoefert,
Arlene Juracek, John Korn, John Matuszak, Steven Polii and Michael Zadel. Staff
present included Village Manager Michael Janonis and Assistant Village Manager David
Strahl.

Motion made by Trustee Zadel seconded by Trustee Polit to approve the minutes of Q
July 13, 2010. Minutes were approved: " ENfl

Motion made by Trustee Zadel seconded by Trustee Polit to approve the minutes of
August 17, 2010. Minutes were approved.
Motion made by Trustee Korn seconded by Trustee Polit to approve the release of
minutes as depicted on,$chedule A.

Village Manager Michael Janonis provided information to the Village Board regarding °?
1'he status of the Fir e : :, Chief. He stated the Fire Chief has accepted a new position and °
,:his last day`with the Village would be November 5, 2010. He stated the Village would
coordinate the press `releases with his new employer and the Village. He stated that he s
iW considering the promotion of John Malcolm to Chief from Deputy Chief. He also t
stated that he=would have Deputy Chief Malcolm present for the September 21 Closed
Sessiombefore the Village Board meeting already scheduled.
