Minutes of December 3, 2011

Call to Order 9:06 a.m.
Secretary's Report The Minutes from November 5, 2011 were e- mailed with copies available at this meeting.
Motion to approve the Minutes from November 5, 2011 with corrections to Roll Call and Absent was made
by Sandy DiCaro, seconded by Tarina Wimmer. No further discussion was held, motion approved
unanimously.
Treasurer's Report A Financial Report was distributed by Dawn Fletcher Collins. Motion to accept Treasurer's
Report as presented was made by Sandy DiCaro seconded by Eileen Gattas. No discussion was held.
Holiday Decorating Contest Decorating pre - judging begins this evening with Commissioner recommendations
given to Paul Seils by December 7 Paul reviewed with members in attendance the criteria for each
category.
Celestial Celebration 2012 Blank letterhead and sample letters of solicitation were handed out. Also, a
sample of the invitation /flyer was shown to members. The photographer has been booked. The favors this
year will be a corsage for the women and boutonniere for the men both will have a dated ribbon. The colors
for this years' event are black, white and dark pink. On the day of the event we would like to get into Bristol
Court earlier than 10:00 a.m. Teresa VanOpdorp is working on the award winner plaques. Nominations are
down this year.
Old Business
➢ Members are looking to receive the final copy of the Special Events Commission member information
list. Doreen Jarosz will be contacted for distribution.
➢ Village Tree Lighting Event: The Lions Club gave away 400 cups of hot cocoa and Central Continental
Bakery donated 3 trays of cookies.
Information Exchange
➢ Fred Steinmiller retiring from Public Works effective December 30, 2011.
➢ Rotary 5000, February 1, 2012; $100. Per ticket which includes dinner for 2 and open bar.
➢ Lions Club Senior Christmas Party today (December 3 VOMP Community Room.
Next Meeting Scheduled for January 7, 2012
