Call to Order 9:06 a.m.
Secretary's Report The Minutes from October 1, 2011 were e- mailed with copies available at this meeting.
Motion to approve the Minutes from October 1, 2011 was made by Sandy DiCaro, seconded by Linda
Hoefert. No discussion was held, motion approved unanimously.
Treasurer's Report A Financial Report was distributed by Dawn Fletcher Collins. Motion to accept Treasurer's
Report as presented was made by Linda Hoefert seconded by Sandy DiCaro. No discussion was held.
Celestial Celebration 2012 What is the budget for decorations? Dawn Fletcher Collins is meeting with Maura
El Metenanni. The nominations have begun to arrive; to date 7 nominations have been received. Dawn would
like all SEC members to nominate someone. November 11 the Sponsor Letters will be ready and will be e-
mailed to all members who have been asked to help solicit sponsors. A Celestial Celebration banner could be
produced after the 1't of the year taking approximately 3 weeks to create at a cost of approximately $900.
Holiday Decorating Contest According to Paul Seils, judging will take place December 3, 4 and 5, 2011.
Nominations should be turned in by December 7 th and the winners will be named at the Committee of the
Whole meeting on December 13, 2011. Members selected areas to judge and were given guidelines for
judging.
Old Business
➢ The tree lighting will take place November 26 5:00p.m. at Village Hall.
➢ Discussion continued with regards to Special Events Banners. Suggestions made were adding signage
to the four corners of the village, possibly only producing signs for the railroad fencing and finding a
company to print the banners.
Information Exchange
➢ November 17 River Trails Park District Craft Show at Rob Roy, 4 -9p.m.
➢ December 4, Mount Prospect Historical Society Housewalk looking for volunteers, contact Linda
Hoefert.
