MAYORS REPORT 5/21/02PR 0 CLAMA TION "UNITY APPRECIATION MONTH" JUNE, 2002 WHEREAS, during these extraordinary times, America looks forward to new challenges and opportunities with a reinvigorated sense of unity and common purpose; and WHEREAS, we are a diverse people because of our race, gender, religion, culture, learning style, physical maturity, family background, and numerous other factors; and WHEREAS, this diversity creates an opportunity for us to examine and appreciate the similarities and differences of those around us; and WHEREAS, as parents, citizens, and community leaders, we must teach our children to appreciate diversity in the human population, and banish those actions that encourage hatred, stereotyping, and discrimination against those of a different race, religion, age, ethnicity, sexual persuasion, or nationality. NOW, THEREFORE, I, GeraM L. Farley, Mayor of the Village of Mount Prospect, do hereby proclaim the month of June, 2002 as "UNITY APPRECIATION MONTH" in the Village of Mount Prospect, and I encourage all citizens to celebrate our diverse heritage and culture, to continue efforts to create a world that is just and fair, and to create unity in our society out of mutual respect for one another. AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 13 OF THE VILLAGE CODE OF MOUNT PROSPECT BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: SECTION ONE: That in accordance with Subsection A of Section 13.108 Of Chapter 13of the Village COde of Mount Prospect, as amended, the Corporate Authorities shall determine the number of Liquor Licenses available in each Classification and shall establish a list specifying the number of Liquor Licenses authorized. Said list is hereby amended by decreasing the number of Class W Liquor Licenses by one (1) BOMPS, 1740 East Kensington Road. Said list is as follows: Zero (0) Class A License Two (2) Class B Licenses Eight (8) Class C Licenses One (1) Class D License One (1) Class E License One (1) Class G License Zero (0) Class N License Zero (0) Class M License One (1) Class P License Fifteen (15) Class R Licenses Sixteen (15) Class S Licenses One (1) Class T License One (1) Class )O( License Six (6) Cass W Licenses SECTION TWO: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication in pamphlet form in the manner provided by law.
