A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT
BETWEEN THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT AND THE
ILLINOIS DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION
PERTAINING TO THE IMPROVEMENT OF RIVER ROAD
WHEREAS, the Department of Transportation of the State of
Illinois will improvement U. S. Route 45 (River Road) between
Camp McDonald and Kensington Roads, (FAP Route 124, State
Section: 3219WRS-80), which improvement is located within the
corporate limits of the Village of Mount Prospect; and
WHEREAS, as a part of the subject improvement, the Department of
Transportation of the State of Illinois will widen River Road,
complete with curb and gutter, upgrade the storm sewer system,
channelizing various intersections and complete resurfacing
throughout and install new traffic signals at Camp McDonald and
River Road including left turn lanes; and
WHEREAS, the Village of Mount Prospect shall entered into an
agreement with the Department of Transportation of the State of
Illinois relative to the improvement and maintenance of areas
specified in the Agreement attached hereto as Exhibit ~A".
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: That the Mayor is hereby authorized to sign and
the Clerk authorized to attest her signature on the Agreement
between the Village of Mount Prospect and the Department of
Transportation of the State of Illinois for the improvement to
River Road, known as F.A.P. Route 124, State Section 3219WRS (80).
SECTION TWO: That this Resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval in the manner
provided by law.
