RESOLUTION
8-86
Approving of the Inflow/Infiltration
Corrective Action Program
of the
Metropolitan Sanitary District of Greater Chicago
WHEREAS, there were a series of meetings held between
elected local officials and representatives of the Metropolitan
Sanitary District of Greater Chicago, the Illinois Environmental
Protection Agency and the U. S. Environmental Protection Agency;
and
WHEREAS,
the
outcome
of
the meetings was
a
!I Sewer
Summit
Agreementll
which was
approved by
the MSDGC
Board
of
Commissioners and the municipalities of the Northwest Municipal
Conference; and
WHEREAS, the Village of Mount Prospect has indicated
its
approval
of
the"Sewer
Summit
Agreement!!
by
passage
of
Resolution #3~86 on January 21, 1986; and
WHEREAS,
the
IISewer
Summit
Agreement"
contains
an
alternative criteria option, known as the Infiltration/Inflow
Corrective Action Program (I CAP); and
WHEREAS,
the
Village
of Mount
Prospect
desires
to
pursue the alternative III/I Corrective Action Program";
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Board
of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect, Illinois:
Section 1. That the Village of Mount Prospect by
adoption of this resolution indicates its
intention to pursue the 1/1 Corrective Action
Program as contained in the Sewer Summit Agreement
prepared by MSDGC and the tributary communities
dated September, 1985, and subject to the
development of further criterian by the ICAP
Technical Panel;
Section 2. That the Mayor is hereby authorized
to execute this resolution;
Section 3. That the Village Clerk is hereby
directed to send a certified copy of this
Resolution to the Secretary of the Metropolitan
Sanitary District of Greater Chicago and trhe
Northwest Municipal conference.
