A RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 20~85
AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN
THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT AND THE ILLINOIS DEPARTMENT
OF TRANSPORTATION FOR ROADWAY MAINTENANCE
WHEREAS, the corporate authorities of the Village of Mount Prospect
did pass and approve Resolution No 20~85 authorizing the execution
of an Agreement between the Village of Mount Prospect and the
Illinois Department of Transportation, which Agreement authorized
the Village to maintain certain State roadways located within the
corporate boundaries of said Village; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined by the Village of Mount Prospect and
the Department of Transportation of the State of Illinois that the
terms and conditions of the Agreement, except for the compensation
involved, being the subject of Resolution No. 20-85 are such that
said Agreement should be extended an additional 12 month period from
the original expiration date of July 1, 1986 to July 1, 1987.
Taking the inflation factor into consideration, the compensation for
the Village maintaining State roadways within the Village for the
period July 1, 1986 through July 1, 1987 shall be $39~200.
WHEREAS, the corporate authorities of the Village of Mount Prospect
have determined that it would be in the best interest of the Village
of Mount Prospect to extend the Agreement being the subject of this
Resolution, attached hereto as Exhibit "AU between the Village of
Mount Prospect and the Department of Transportation of the State of
Illinois.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: That the Mayor and Board of Trustees do hereby
authorize the extension of the Agreement between the Village of
Mount Prospect and the Department of Transportation of the State of
Illinois for the maintenance of specified State roadways within the
corporate boundaries of the Village of Mount Prospect, a copy of
said Agreement is attached hereto and hereby made a part hereof as
Exhibit "Au.
SECTION TWO: That this Resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval in the manner
provided by law.
