RESOWTlOO NO. 25-87
A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE TRANSFER OF FUNDS IN
THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLCCK GRANT PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the village of Mount Prospect has entered its tenth
year as an entitlement community under the federal Community
Develq;:ment Block Grant Program, and
WHEREAS, in the past nine years the Village has used these
funds to implement various projects that addressed the camlunity
develo¡;;ment and housing needs of its lÜIÑ and moderate incane and
elderly residents, to reduce and prevent the occurrence of
deterioration in the Central Area of the Village, to increase
accessibility for the handicapped, and to address other camnunity
needs in conformance with the obJectives of the Cammunity
Development Block Grant Program; and
WHEREAS, many of these projects have been canpleted and
cancelled but still have balances in their accounts; and
WHEREAS, the Multi Family Housing Rehabilitation project has
inadequate funds to finance the rehabilitation of multi family
residential buildings; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on August 5, 1987 to
receive canments iran the public on this matter and that during
this hearing the Plan Carmission voted 6-0 in favor of
recommending approval of this transfer
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY,
ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: The Mayor and Board of Trustees of the village
of Mount prospect hereby approve the following transfer of
Camumity Develof1Tlent Block Grant funds in the following amounts
for a total transfer of $108,731.00:

SECTION THREE: This Resolution shall be in full force and
effect iran and after its passage and approval in the manner
provided by law.
