BOARD OF FIRE AND POLICE COMMISSIONERS
MINUTES
SPECIAL MEETING
August 10, 2011

Chairman Busse called the meeting to order at 6:05 p.m.
Roll Call: George Busse, Chairman
Charles Bennett, Commissioner
James Powers, Commissioner
Michaele Skowron, Commissioner

CITIZENS TO BE HEARD
Chairman Busse asked if the Mayor has pursued any additional names to fill the vacancy on the commission.
Chief Dahlberg said he is not aware of any final decision.
CLOSED SESSION
A motion was made by Commissioner Bennett and seconded by Commissioner Powers to go into Closed
Session under personnel 5 ILCS 120/2 (c)(1) at 6:08 p.m.
Roll Call: Ayes: Busse, Bennett, Powers, Skowron
Nays: None Motion Carried
The Board reconvened at 6:23 p.m. with everyone present.
Chief Dahlberg presented the Police Officer Eligibility List for certification as determined by the oral interviews
conducted on August 1 & 2, 2011.
A motion was made by Commissioner Skowron and seconded by Commissioner Bennett to certify the list as
presented.
At the conclusion of a brief discussion regarding the list of candidates, Chairman Busse asked for a vote.
Roll Call: Ayes: Bennett, Busse, Powers, Skowron,
Nays: None Motion Carried
The Board agreed that due to the holiday, the next meeting would be held on September 12, 2011, at 5:30 p.m.
The meeting was adjourned at 6:30 p.m.
