Chairman Adam Kiel called the August 03, 2011 Youth Commission meeting to order at 7:28 p.m. in the first
floor training room of the Police and Fire Headquarters, Mount Prospect, Illinois.

Secretary Cindy Rumors called the roll.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Nora Gawlik, seconded by Alex Oplawski, moved to approve the Minutes of the June 01, 2011 Youth
Commission meeting. Motion carried by unanimous approval.
VISITORS TO BE HEARD
No visitors attended the August meeting.

TREASURER'S REPORT
Secretary Cindy Rumors advised the current Youth Commission current balance is S 1,333.46.

Chairman Alex Oplawski advised Youth Commission Chairman Adam Kiel presented the report to the Village
Board at the July 12 Board meeting.

Adult Advisor George Clowes advised the new survey is on the Village websitc. All members were encouraged

Adult Advisor David Schein said the Youth Commission display board was at the Lion's Club 4`h o f Ju
carnival.
Nora Gawlik to contact Rabia Mernon for the display board and will place it at the River Trails Park District.

Chairman Nora Gawlik reported the Spanish version is in first draft. Committee members to meet in August to
continue working on the Spanish version of Youth Resource catalog.

OLD BUSINESS
LIONS CLUB 4TH OF JULY
Youth Commission participated in the Lion's Club 4 `h of July activities. Members collected surveys from
attendees at the carnival.
NEW BUSINESS
OFFICER ELECTIONS
Youth Commission elections to be held at the September meeting.
YOUTH VIEW
Adult Advisor George Clowes advised Youth View show was taped with two teen librarians on youth literature.

One of the teen librarians, Renee Neunicier, to attend the September meeting.
YOUTH COMMISSION SCRAP BOOK
Nora Gawlik updated Youth Commission scrap book. 2011-2012 Youth Commission group picture to be taken
at September meeting.

Alex Oplawski, seconded by Delanic Steinwe-, moved to adjourn the August 03, 2011 inectin-1
Motion carried by unanimous approval.
