Published in pamphlet form by authority of the corporate authorities of the Village of Mount Prospect, Illinois, the 19th day of August , 1987. ORDINANCE NO. 3823 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF CERTAIN PERSONAL PROPERTY OWNED BY THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT WHEREAS, in the opinion of at least three-fourths of the corporate authorities of the Village of Mount Prospect, Illinois, it is no longer necessary, useful, or in the best interests of the Village of Mount Prospect to retain ownership of the personal property hereinafter described; and WHEREAS, it has been determined by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect that the best interests of the Village would be served by the sale of the subject personal property. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: SECTION ONE: In accordance with the provisions of Section 11-76-4 of Chapter 24 of the Illinois Revised Statutes, the corporate authorities of the Village of Mount Prospect find that the items of personal property being the subject of this Ordinance owned by the Village of Mount Prospect are no longer useful or necessary to said Village, and said property is therefore surplus property and the best interests of the Village will be served by its sale. The Village of Mount Prospect offers no warranty, express or implied, as to the condition or serviceability of the equipment. The bidder assumes full responsibility for the equipment at the time of taking possession. Bids will be accepted on one or more of the above vehicles individually or on the total group as a whole. Bids must be presented on the form provided by the Village of Mount Prospect and are to be in accordance with the Instruction to Bidders. Inspection of the above listed vehicles and/or Instruction to Bidders may be made by contacting Marilyn Kanel, Mount Prospect Police Department, 112 East Northwest Highway, Mount Prospect, Il. 60056. For additional information call 312/870-5678, Monday through Friday, 8:30 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. The Village reserves the right to reject any and all bids. Carol A. Emerson, Mount Prospect, Illinois at the hour of 10:00 A.M. on September 10, 1987. SECTION FOUR: Within ten (10) days after the receipt of bid(s) is accepted, the successful bidder(s) shall tender to the Village the consideration specified in the bid accepted and upon receipt of such consideration, the Village Manager is hereby authorized to transfer title of said equipment to the successful bidder(s). SECTION FIVE: Any item(s) remaining unsold after the above date may be disposed of by the Village Manger or his designated agent in a manner which is in the best interest of the Village. SECTION SIX: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication in pamphlet form as provided by law.
