Home My WebLink AboutRes 13-11 05/03/2011 Declaring the Results of the Consoldated Election of April 5, 2011RESOLUTION NO. 13 -11 A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE RESULTS OF THE CONSOLIDATED ELECTION OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT HELD APRIL 5, 2011 WHEREAS, the Consolidated General Election was held in and for the Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois, on Tuesday, April 5, 2011, for the purpose of electing three Village Trustees for four year terms, and three Library Trustees for six year terms; and WHEREAS, the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect do hereby declare the results of the April 5, 2011 election for said Village. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: SECTION ONE That pursuant to the Consolidated Election Laws of the State of Illinois, a regular election was held for the Village of Mount Prospect, Tuesday, April 5, 2011. SECTION TWO That an official canvass was conducted on April 26, 2011 by the Cook County Clerk's Canvassing Board for the Village of Mount Prospect declaring that 2,691 ballots were counted as follows: Village Trustee — 4 -year terms Paul Wm. Hoefert 2,037 Arlene A. Juracek 1,981 A. John Korn 1,931 Library Trustee — 6 -year terms Dale Barbara Draznin 1,946 Brian Gilligan 1,925 Richard T. Tani 1,900 SECTION THREE A) Inasmuch as Paul Wm. Hoefert, A. John Korn, and Arlene A. Juracek each received an uncontested number of votes, they are hereby declared elected to the Office of Village Trustee of the Village of Mount Prospect for four -year terms; B) Inasmuch as Dale Barbara Draznin, Richard T. Tani and Brian Gilligan each received an uncontested number of votes, they are hereby declared elected to the Office of Library Trustee of the Village of Mount Prospect for six -year terms. SECTION FOUR: The Village Clerk is hereby directed to forward a certified copy of this Resolution to the Cook County Election Department and the State Board of Election Commissioners, as provided by law.
