Meeting Minutes- Saturday, October 2, 2010
Meeting held at the Mt. Prospect Public Library
CALL TO ORDER: Dawn Fletcher Collins called the meeting to order at 9:08 a.m.
Present: Dale Draznin, Jill Friedrichs,Teresa VanOpdorp, Janice Farley, Christina Greco,
Martha Helm, Linda Hoefert
Absent: Eileen Gattas, Kathy Janonis, Mike Janonis, Fred Steinmiller, Jim Uszler, Sandy
DiCaro, Paul Seils
APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Motion made by Jill Friedrichs to approve the minutes from the
August 7, 2010 meeting, seconded by Martha Helm
FINANCIAL REPORT: Financial Report presented by Dawn Fletcher Collins. A motion made
by Dale Draznin to accept the Financial Report as presented, seconded by Christina Greco,
Commission accepted.
CURRENT BUSINESS:
-- Celestial Celebration — Dawn Fletcher Collins touched base on the list of tasks at hand.
Martha Helm added to the task list photo copying of the nomination forms. Lind Hoefert
suggested that we need a writer for the final scripts; Dale Draznin offered to write the scripts.
Dawn Fletcher Collins is emailing out the current list of names that will receive a nomination
form and invitation. She had asked the committee to check for duplicates. Mailing will take
place at the end of October. Naming of the event is "Shining Stars in Paradise" . Sub - committee
meetings for Celestial will take place immediately following the regular SEC monthly meetings
(1 Saturday of the month).
- -Team Sec- Dawn Fletcher Collins touched base on ideas to increase openness at meetings
and there was a productive discussion that took place between all Commission members.
NEW BUSINESS:
- -Wiki- MPPL Presentation — Michelle from MPPL presented the Commission with a brief
summary of how Wiki can improve our communication with planning events. No decision has
been made at this time if the Commission will be using Wiki in the future.
ADJOURNMENT: No other items up for discussion. Meeting adjourned at 10 :31 a.m.

Uszler, Sandy DiCaro, Paul Seils
CURRENT BUSINESS:
Teresa VanOpdorp reported that she and Kathy Janonis had met and discussed decorations
and options for the theme of the event. Teresa shared specific ideas and that there was an
appointment at Bristol Court scheduled for October 4. Task list was passed around and spots
filled. Discussion related to fundraising /sponsorships and details took place.
ADJOURNMENT: Meeting was adjourned at 10:51 a.m.
