IV.2011 CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS OVERVIEW
Winter is almost over so we must be approaching construction season. Every year the
Village makes the necessary investments to maintain and improve its critical
infrastructure. This year’s projects include street resurfacing, drainage improvements,
sanitary sewer improvements, detention pond improvements, street light improvements,
combined sewer improvements and completion of the Levee 37 contract work.
Appropriate Village staff will be present to facilitate the discussion and provide additional
overview.
V.EMERALD ASH BORER/GYPSY MOTH UPDATE
Forestry/Grounds staff will provide updates on Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) and Gypsy
Moth. Regarding (EAB) theEmerald Ash Borer was first found in Mount Prospect this
past fall onSeptember 9, 2010. Village staff will update the Village Board about EAB
finds and staff activities overthe winter and discussmanagement strategies proposed
for the rest of 2011.
Regarding Gypsy moth staff will reporton apparent changes to the populationin the past
year, discuss 2011 treatment options and seek Board direction on whether to continue
treating private finds this year.
Appropriate staff will be available to answer questions and facilitate discussion.
