On Thursday, February 17, 2011, the Village Manager met with owners Messrs. Sam
Papageorge and Chris Kavelas regarding a request for the cre
license for the above--
of alcohol in a restaurant with lounge.

menu with deep dish pizza. The total building square footage is 3,500 square feet with an
estimated 30 tables. The restaurant has been closed since August 2010. Currently a complete
renovation of the interior is underway with an anticipated opening in early May. The restaurant
will be open seven days a week Sunday through Thursday from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. and
until 1:00 a.m. on Friday and Saturday.
The Village Manager discussed at length the Vill
also discussed. The Village Manager made it very clear to all present that the restaurant
managers were responsible for the actions of all restaurant employees with regard to the
service of alcohol. Also discussed was the need for all employees involved in the delivery of
alcohol to complete a certified liquor servers training course.
A completed application as well as all other required documentation is on file. Both Messrs.
Papageorge and Kavelas have completed background checks and fingerprinting in association
with the Emerson Ale House application. The license would be issued contingent upon the
owners and managers.

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 13 OF THE
VILLAGE CODE OF MOUNT PROSPECT
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT
PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS ACTING IN THE EXERCISE OF THEIR HOME RULE POWERS:
SECTION ONE: That in accordance with Subsection A of Section 13.108 of Chapter 13 of the Village Code of
Mount Prospect, as amended, the Corporate Authorities shall determine the number of Liquor Licenses
available in each Classification and shall establish a list specifying the number of Liquor Licenses authorized.
Said list is hereby amended by increasing the number of Class -3Liquor Licenses by One (1):
EMERSON ST. GRILL INC. d/b/a 133 S. EMERSON STREET Said list is as
follows:
Five (5) Class P-1 License
Seven (7) Class P-2 Licenses
Three (3) Class P-3 Licenses
