PROVIDE FOR CERTAIN CHANGES TO THE ZONING CODE
PASSED AND APPROVED BY
THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES

RDINANCE NO. 3847
AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 14 ENTITLED "ZONING"
OF THE VILLAGE CODE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, ILLINOIS
TO PROVIDE FOR CERTAIN CHANGES TO THE ZONING CODE
WHEREAS, Twin Links, has proposed amendments to the Zoning
Ordinance to provide for batting cages and miniature golf courses
to be an allowable special use in the B-3 Zoning District rather
than an excluded use; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on said amendments, designated
as Case No. ZBA 59-A-87 before the Zoning Board of Appeals of the
Village of Mount Prospect on the 10th day of September, 1987
pursuant to due and proper notice thereof published in the Mount
Prospect Herald on the 12th day of August, 1987; and
WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals has submitted its findings
and recommendations for approval to the Board of Trustees of the
Village of Mount Prospect; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees have considered
further the amendments and the findings and recommendations of
the Zoning Board of Appeals and have determined that it is in the
best interest of the community to grant the amendment request.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS,
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION ONE: That Section 14.2001.B.3 and Section 14.2001.B.20
of Article XX of Chapter 14, entitled "Zoning", of the Village
Code of Mount Prospect, Illinois, 1981, as amended, are hereby
further amended by deleting therefrom Section 14.2001.B.3 and
Section 14.2001.B.20 in their entirety.
SECTION TWO: That Section 14.2001.C.7 of Article XX of Chapter
14, entitled "Zoning", as amended, be and the same is hereby
further amended by adding thereto in proper numerical sequence
the following, so that hereinafter said Section 14.2001.C.7 shall
be and read as follows:
"7. Amusement Centers, batting cages and miniature golf
courses. "
SECTION TWO: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage, approval and publication in pamphlet
form in the manner provided by law.
