ZONING CODE

AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 14 ENTITLED "ZONING"
OF THE VILLAGE CODE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, ILLINOIS
TO PROVIDE FOR CERTAIN CHANGES TO THE ZONING CODE
WHEREAS, Kinder-Care, Inc., has proposed amendments to the Zoning
Ordinance to provide for changes to allow a day care center as a
special use in a B-2 District; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on said amendments, designated
as Case No. ZBA 9-A-88 before the Zoning Board of Appeals of the
V~llage of Mount Prospect on the 25th day of February, 1988
pursuant to due and proper not~ce thereof published ~n the Mount
Prospect Herald on the 8th day of February, 1988; and
WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals has submitted its f~ndings
and recommendations to the Board of Trustees of the V~llage of
Mount Prospect; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees have considered
further the amendments and the findings and recommendations of
the Zoning Board of Appeals and have determined that it is in the
best interest of the community to grant the amendment request.
NOW, THEREFOREt BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOISt
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION ONE: Chapter 14 entitled "Zoning" of the V~llage Code of
Mount Prospect, Illinois, 1981, as amended, is hereby further
amended by amending Section 14.1801.B.1 of Article XVIII, Section
follows:

By amending Section 14.1801.B.1 to include the
following:
"School or college (private music, dancing, buslness,
vocational, day care center, or other)"
SECTION TWO: Except for the changes stated herein all other
codes of the V~llage of Mount Prospect shall apply to the Subject
Property in their entirety.
SECTION THREE: This Ordinance shall be ~n full force and effect
from and after its passage, approval and publication in pamphlet
form in the manner provided by law.
