Published in pamphlet form by authority of the corporate authorities of the V~llage of Mount Prospect, Illinois, the 6th day of April , 1988. AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF SPECIFIED PERSONAL PROPERTY OWNED BY THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT ~ERF~S, in the opinion of at least three-fourths of the corporate authorities of the village of Mount Prosl~ct, it is no longer necessary or useful to or for the best interests of the Village of Mount Prospect, to retain ownership of the personal property hereinafter described; --and WHEREAS, it has been determined by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect to sell said personal property. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY TEE PRESIDENT AND BOARD'OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTYt ILLINOIS~ SECTION OHE~ That, pursuant to Section 11-76-4 of the Illinois Municipal Code, II1.Rev. Stat., Chapter 24, Section 11-76-4, the PresXdent and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect find that the following described property~ One (1) 1972 Darley/Ford Fire Pumper equipped with a 1000 GPM Midship Fire Pump and 750 gallon'water tank. Powered with a ford $34 Cu. In. gasoline engine and an automatic transmission serial %C91LVM13216, now owned by the Village of Mount Prospect, is no longer necessary or useful to the Village of Mount Prospect and the best interests of the Village of Mount Prospect will be served by it's sale. SECTION TWO: That, pursuant to said Section 11-76-4, the Village Manager is hereby authorized and directed to sell the aforementioned personal property now owned by the Village of Mount Prospect, to the highest bidder therefore. Said sale shall be conducted through the receipt of sealed bids. SECTION THREE: That, the Village Manager is hereby authorized and directed to advertise the sale of the aforementioned personal property in a newspaper published within the community and/or other fire service related publications not less than ten (10) days before the date of said bid opening. " SECTION POUR: That, the Village of Mount Prospect reserves the right to reject any and all bids. SECTION FIVE: That, the Village Manager is hereby authorized and directed to enter into an agreement for the said sale of said personal property which shall be advertised for by publishing the following notice at least once in the Daily Herald and fire service related publications, which notice shall be in substantially the following f~orm: 'NOTICE TO BIDDERS NOtice [~' ~ereby given that the Village Manager of the v£11age of Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois, will receive bids at the Office~of the village Manager, 100 South Emerson Street, until 10:)) a.m.C.D.S.T, on May 10, 1988 at which time the Bid Proposals for t~e purchase of one 1972 Darley/Ford Fire Pumper equipped with a 1000 GPM Midship Fire Pump and 750 gallon water tank, powered with a Ford 534 Cu. In. gasoline engine and an automatic transmission serial %C91LVM13216, less accessories, tools, warning lights and ground ladders, presently owned by the Village of Mount Prospect, swill be opened and publicly read. Any such proposal shall be accompanied by earnest money in cash, certified check or cashier~s check in the amount of 10% of the offer (bid proposal). Such deposits will be returned to the unsuccessful bidders. 2- Prospective bidders and interested persons may review the personal property to be sold, at Fire Station %3, 2000 East Kensington, Mount Prospect. SECTION SEVENs That this Ordinance shall be In full force and effect from and after it's passage (by a vote of at least three-fourths of the corporate authorities), approval and publication in the manner provided by law.
