CALL TO ORDER
Chairman Adam Kiel called the November 03, 2010 Youth Commission meeting to order at 7:08 p.m. in the first
floor training room of the Police and Fire Headquarters, Mount Prospect, Illinois.

ROLL CALL
Secretary Cindy Rumore called the roll, noting that the following members had let her know beforehand that
they would not be able to attend the meeting: Michael Boivin, Rachel Otte, Delanie Steinweg, Sergeant Anthony
Addante, and Trustee Steven Polit.
Also noted, Merrily Ruetsche left the meeting at 7:30 p.m. and Rabia Memon and Jaclyn Stassen left the meeting
at 8:00 p.m.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Jacyln Stassen, seconded by Rabia Memon, moved to approve the Minutes of the September 01, 2010 Youth
Commission meeting as amended. Motion carried by unanimous approval.
VISITORS TO BE HEARD
Guest Dan Bojczuk, junior, prospective new member from John Hersey High School introduced himself to
Youth Commission members.
YOUTH COMMISSION COMMITTEES
Youth Commission members discussed the established Committees and their functions. Members chose the
Committees they were interested in serving on.
Alex Oplawski, seconded by Nora Gawlik moved to approve the Youth Commission Committees and Chair
persons. Motion carried by unanimous approval.

OLD BUSINESS
DISPLAY BOARD
The display board was on display at the Community Connections Center in September- October.
Merrily Ruetsche to contact Mount Prospect Public Library officials regarding setting up the Youth Commission
display board in the library.
YOUTH COMMISSION BUDGET
Secretary Cindy Rumore advised the Youth Commission balance is $424.89.
It was agreed that the Treasurer, Jaclyn Stassen, report monthly to the Youth Commission regarding the budget.
Members discussed reducing the budget for 2011.
YOUTH COMMISSION PARLIAMENTARIAN POSITION
Members discussed the responsibilities of Parliamentarian position and the possibility of adding the position to
Youth Commission officers.
Secretary Cindy Rumore to email "How to Run A Meeting" and "Parliamentary Procedures" to all members.
YOUTH COMMISSION ORDINANCE
Adult Advisor George Clowes reviewed the Youth Commission Ordinance explaining the expected duties to
members.
OTHER BUSINESS
SPECIAL YOUTH COMMISSION MEETING
Members discussed changing the Youth Commission November Special meeting on Wednesday, November 17,
2010. The meeting was held on Tuesday, November 16, 2010 at Village Hall Community Center, 50 South
Emerson Street.
FOOD PURCHASE ROTATION
Nora Gawlik volunteered for the food purchase for the December meeting.
MOTION TO ADJOURN
Nora Gawlik, seconded by Lindsay Boivin, moved to adjourn the November 03, 2010 meeting.
Motion carried by unanimous approval.
MEETING ADJOURNED
Chairman Adam Kiel adjourned the meeting at 8:26 p.m.
