AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 21.222 OF
CHAPTER 21 OF THE VILLAGE CODE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: That Section 21.222 entitled "Night Construction"
of Chapter 21 of the Village Code, as amended, is hereby further
amended; so that hereinafter said Section 21.222 of Chapter 21
shall be and read as follows:
Sec. 21.222. Night Construction.
No construction or alteration operations shall be carried on
within the Village between the hours of seven o'clock (7:00)
P.M. and eight o'clock (8:00) A.M., provided, however, if
said construction or alteration site is located 250 feet or
more from a residential dwelling unit, the hours prohibiting
said construction or alteration operations shall be between
the hours of seven o'clock (7:00) P.M. and seven o'clock
(7:00) A.M. Any appeal from this restriction shall be
made to the Village Manager. "
SECTION TWO: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage, approval and publication in
the manner provided by law.
