Published in pamphlet form by authority of the corporate authorities of the Village of Mount Prospect, Illinois, the 2nd day of March , 1988. ORDINANCE NO. 3906 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE VII ENTITLED "BOARD OF FIRE AND POLICE COMMISSIONERS" OF CHAPTER 5 OF THE VILLAGE CODE OF MOUNT PROSPECT WHEREAS, in accordance ~10.2.1-4 through ~10.2.1-29 of Chapter 24 of the Illinois Revised Statutes, the Village of Mount Prospect has appointed a Board of Fire and Police Commissioners; and WHEREAS, the Village of Mount Prospect, Illinois, is a home rule municipality, as defined and set forth in the Constitution of the State of Illinois and by the provisions thereof is empowered to enact such legislation pertaining to its local governmental affairs as is deemed necessary and in the best interest of the Village; and WHEREAS, the corporate authorities of the Village of Mount Prospect have determIned that in order to more efficiently handle applications for employment, the Board of Fire and Police Commissioners shall have the authority to assess an application processing fee. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: SECTION ONE: That Section 5.704 of Article VII entitled "Board of Fire and Police Commissioners" of Chapter 5 of the Village Code of Mount Prospect, as amended, is hereby further amended to added thereto paragraph "J"; so that hereinafter, said Section 5.704.J shall be and read as follows: "J. The establishment of a fee for application processing for both Police and Fire testing, in accordance with the Rules and Regulations established by.the Board of Fire and Police Commisslonerso " SECTION TWO: That this Ordinance effect from and after its passage, the manner provided by law. shall be in full force and approval and publication in AYES: Farley, Floros, Van Geem, Wattenberg NAYS: None ABSENT~rthur, Murausk~s PASSED and APPROVED this 1st day of March, 1988.
