ORDINANCE NO. 4001
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE I OF CHAPTER 1
OF THE VILLAGE CODE OF MOUNT PROSPECT
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: That Section 1.102.A entitled "Bond; Oath; Salary"
of Chapter I of the Village code of Mount Prospect, as amended,
is hereby further amended by increasing the salary from three
thousand dollars ($3,000.00) to four thousand dollars
($4,000.00); so that hereinafter said Section 1.102.A of Chapter
I shall be and read as follows:
" A.
Before entering upon the duties of his office, the
Village President shall give a bond with sureties to be
approved by the Board of Trustees conditioned upon his
faithful performance of duties of Village President in
the sum of three thousand dollars ($3,000.00). The
President shall take the oath of office as prescribed
by ~tatutes and shall receive as compensation the sum
of four thousand dollars ($4,000.00) annually, payable
in twelve (12) equal monthly installments. "
SECTION TWO: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage, approval and publication in
pamphlet form in the manner provided by law.
