AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER ~!
OF THE VILLAGE CODE OF MOUNT PROSPECT
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECTs COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: That Article XXIII of Chapter Il of the Village Code of Mount
Prospect, as amended, is hereby further amended by inserting therein a new
Subsection B entitled "Exclus:ve Residential Recycling License" of Section 11.2301
entitled "License Required," and renumbermg Subsection B, entitled "Other Licenses"
of Section 11.2301 to Subsection C of Section 11.21011 so that hereinafter said
Subsection B of Section 11.2301 shall be and read as follows:
" B. Exclusive Residential Recychng License: There shall be issued in the
Village no more than one scavenger license, authorizing the curbside collection of
recyclables for any and all residential dwelling units participating in the Mount
Prospect Recycling Program within the Corporate hmits of the Village.
1. The said exclusive residential recycling license shall be issued to that
contractor awarded the "Exclusive Resident:al Recycling Contract" by the
most current resolution passed by the President and Board of Trustees of the
Village.
2. There shall be no charge for said "Exclusive Residential Recycling
License."
SECTION TWO: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after Its
passage, approval and publication in pamphlet form in the manner provided by law.
