AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE OFFICIAL COMPREHENSIVE PLAN
OF 1981 FOR THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of
Mount Prospect have adopted an Official Comprehensive Plan for
the V~llage of Mount Prospect as a guideline for development
w~thin the Village; and
WHEREAS, the Preszdent and Board of Trustees of the village of
Mount Prospect have determined that a need exists to amend the
officzal Comprehensive Plan of the Village of Mount Prospect
adopted April 8, 1981 from time to time; and
WHEREAS, zt has been deemed that zn order for the Official
Comprehensive Plan to conform with existing zoning for property
generally located on the north side of Golf Road immediately east
of clearwater Park, the designation of low denszty multi-family
residential should be changed to reflect commercial property; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Chapter 24, Article 11-12-7 of the Illinois
Revised Statutes, the Plan Commission of the village ~- Mount
Prospect held a Public Hearing on August 17, 1988, pursuant to
proper legal notice being published in the Mount Prospect Herald
on July 22, 1988 to consider the proposed change ~n the Official
Comprehensive Plan as specified hereinabove; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees have considered the
proposed change in the Official Comprehenszve Plan and have
determzned that the best interests of the Village would be served
by amending the Official Comprehensive Plan of the Village of
Mount Prospect.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: The President and Board of Trustees of the Village
of Mount Prospect do hereby amend the Official Comprehensive Plan
of the Village of Mount Prospect with respect to property located
on the north side of Golf Road immediately east of Clearwater
Park from low density multi-family residential to commercial
property.
SECTION TWO: The Vzllage Clerk of the Village of Mount Prospect
is hereby authorized and directed to file notice of the amendment
to the Official Comprehenszve Plan of the village of Mount
Prospect with the Cook County Recorder of Deeds, as provided by
the Statutes of the State of Illinozs.
SECTION THREE: The Village Clerk of the village of Mount
Prospect is hereby directed to published, in pamphlet form, said

Official Comprehensive Plan for the Village of Mount Prospect
with the amendment specified herein, pursuant to the Statutes of
the State of Illinois made and provide.
SECTION FOUR: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
'from and after 1ts passage, approval and publication in pamphlet
form in the manner provided by law.
