AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE DISCHARGE OF SANITARY AND
INDUSTRIAL WASTE INTO ANY STORM SEWER OR DRAINAGE FACILITY
CONSTRUCTED AS A PART OF THE ELMHURST ROAD OAKTON STREET IMPROVEMENT
WHEREAS, the State of Illinois, acting by and through 1ts Department of
Transportation, lS desirous of improving the traffic signals at Elmhurst
Road and Oakton Street within the corporate boundaries of the Village of
Mount Prospect; and
WHEREAS, said pro3ect includes the installation of storm sewers and drainage
facIlities; and
WHEREAS, a portion of the sub3ect pro3ect is located w~th~n the corporate
boundaries of the Village of Mount Prospect.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: No person, firm, corporation or other entity shall discharge
any sanitary waste or industrial waste water into any storm sewer or
drainage facility located on Elmhurst Road or Oakton Street w~thln the
corporate boundaries of the Village of Mount Prospect.
SECTION TWO: The Village Clerk of the Village of Mount Prospect is
authorIzed and directed to attach a copy of this Ordinance to the Agreement
dated Juoe 21 , 1988, by and between the State of Illinois and
the Village of Mount Prospect, relative to the improvement being the sub3ect
of this Ordinance.
SECTION THREE: Th~s Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage, approval and publicatIon in pamphlet form in the manner
provided by law.
