ORDINANCE NO. 4083 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SALE BY PUBLIC AUCTION OF PERSONAL PROPERTY OWNED BY THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT WHEREAS, in the opinion of at least three-fourths of the corpo- rate authorities of the Village of Mount Prospect, it is no longer necessary or useful to or for the best Interests of the Village of Mount prospect to retain ownership of the personal property hereinafter described; and WHEREAS, it has been determined by the Mayor and the Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect to sell said personal property at a public auction to be held on Saturday, September 16, 1989. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND BOARD OF TRUST- EES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT: SECTION ONE: Pursuant to Section 11-76-4 of the Illinois Municipal Code, Illinois Revised Statutes, C24, Section 11-76-4, the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect find that the personal property described on the attached form now owned by the Village of Mount Prospect, is no longer neces- sary or useful to the Village of Mount Prospect, and the best interests of the Village of Mount Prospect will be served by its sale. SECTION TWO: Pursuant to said Section 11-76-4, the Village Manager is hereby authorized and directed to sell the aforemen- tioned personal property now owned by the Village of Mount Pros- pect, at public auction on Saturday, September 16, 1989, at the Arlington Heights Public Works Department, 222 Ridge in Arlington Heights, 11:00 a.m., to the highest bidder on said personal property. SECTION THREE:The Village Manager is hereby authorized and may direct the Northwest Municipal Conference to advertise the sale of the aforementioned personal property in a newspaper published within the community before the date of said public auction. SECTION FOUR: The Village Manager is hereby authorized and may direct the Northwest Municipal Conference to enter anto an agreement for the sale of said personal property. The auction shall be conducted an the manner set forth in the Speclfacations for the sale of vehicles attached hereto and made a part of this ordinance. SECTION FIVE: No bid which is less than the minimum value set forth in last of property to be sold shall be accepted, unless a lower amount is authorized by the Village Manager of has repre- sentative at the auction. SECTION SIX: Upon payment of the full auctaon price, the Village Manager is hereby authorized and directed to convey and transfer title to the aforesaid personal property, to the suc- cessful bidder. ECTION SEVEN: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after it passage, by a vote of at least three- fourths of the corporate authorities, and approved in the manner provided by law.
