RDINANCE NO. 4026
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING JURISDICTION OF
A PORTION OF CENTRAL ROAD BETWEEN
RAND ROAD AND WOLF ROAD
WHEREAS, the State of Illinois, acting by and through its
Department of Transportation, is desirous Of improving Central Road
between Rand Road and Wolf Road; and
WHEREAS, the improvement of Central Road between Rand Road and Wolf
Road is a co-operative project between the State of Illinois, City
of Des Plaines and the Village of Mount Prospect; and
WHEREAS, said project is being undertaken to facilitate the free
flow of traffic and ensure the safety of the motoring public; and
WHEREAS, in conjunction with the improvement of that portion of
Central Road, as specified, the Village of Mount Prospect has
agreed to accept jurisdiction of said right-of-way.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VIL?.AGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: That in conjunction with the improvement of Central
Road between Rand Road and Wolf, more fully described in the
Agreement between the State of Illinois and the Village of Mount
Prospect being the subject of Resolution No. ~-~g , the corporate
authorities of the Village of Mount Prospect do hereby accept
jurisdiction of that portion of Central Road located between Rand
Road and Wolf Road, as indicated on the map attached hereto and
hereby made a part hereof.
SECTION TWO: That the Village Clerk is hereby directed to forward
a certified copy of this Ordinance to the State of Illinois,
Department of Transportation following its passage and approval.
~LT~: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage, approval and publication in
pamphlet form in the manner provided by law.
