AN ORDINANCE AMENDINa THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT
AMENDED TAX INCREMENT REDEVELOPMENT
PROJECT AND PL4%N NO i
WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect has
previously adopted Ordinance No. 3554, approving the Village of
Mount Prospect Tax Increment Redevelopment Project and Plan No. 1
("the Plan"); and
WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect
thereafter adopted Ordinance No. 4011 which amended the Plan; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect
desires to further amend the Plan as amended by Village Ordinance
No. 4011, to include an affirmative action plan and commitment to
fair employment practices.
NOWv THEREFOREv BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAaE OF MOUNT PROSPECT~ COOK COUNTY~ ILLINOIS~
as follows:
SECTION ONE: The Village of Mount Prospect Tax Increment
Redevelopment Project and Plan, as amended by Ordinance No. 4011,
is hereby amended to include an affirmative action plan and
commitment to fair employment practices, as reflected on Exhibit
A attached hereto and made a part hereof ("the Second Amendment").
SECTION TWO: The Village of Mount Prospect finds that the Second
Amendment does not alter the exterior boundaries of the Village of
Mount Prospect Tax Increment Redevelopment Project Area No. 1, as
amended, does not affect the general land uses established pursuant
to the Village of Mount Prospect Tax Increment Redevelopment
Project and Plan No. 1, as amended and does not change the nature
of said redevelopment project.
SECTION THREE: The Village Clerk is hereby directed to publish
this Ordinance in pamphlet form and to file a certified copy of
this Ordinance with the County Clerk of Cook County, Illinois.
SECTION FOUR: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval as provided by law.
PASSED BY THE FOLLOWING ROLL CALL VOTE this 7th day of
February , 1989.

AFFIRMATIVE ACTION PLAN
The Village of Mount Prospect is committed to and will affirma-
tively implement the following principles with respect to the
Amended Tax Increment Redevelopment Project and Plan No. 1 of the
Village of Mount Prospect, Illinois:
The assurance of equal opportunity in all personnel and
employment actions with respect to the Project and Plan,
including, but not limited to: hiring, training, trans-
fer, promotion, discipline, fringe benefits, salary,
employment working conditions, termination, etc., without
regard to race, color, religion, sex, age, handicapped
status, marital status, national origin, creed or
ancestry.

This commitment to affirmative action will ensure that
all members of the protected groups are sought out to
compete for all job openings and promotional oppor-
tunities.
In order to implement these principles for the Project and Plan,
the Village shall require and promote equal employment practices
and affirmative action on the part of itself and its contractors
and vendors. In particular, parties contracting for work on the
Project shall be required to agree to the principles set forth in
this section.
