HomeMy WebLinkAbout11/14/1933 VB minutes Minutes of adjourned meeting of the President and Board • of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect, Illinois, held in the Village Hall in said Village on the 14th day of November, A.D. 1933, at the hour of eight o'clock P.M., pursuant to adjournment. The meeting was called to order by President Meyn and on • call of the roll the following were found to be present: Herman Meyn, President, and Messrs. Budlong, Carlson, Gould, Niebuhr and Wille, trustees. . The President announced that the meeting had been adjourned to this date for the public consideration of the advisability and desirability of making application for a Federal loan for the pur- pose of defraying the cost of the construction of a water storage tank and installation of pumps and other equipment, in the matter • of the improvement of the public waterworks system of the Village of Mount Prospect. After a lengthy discussion of the proposed project by and with the citizens of the village present, Mr. Gould presented the following resolution and moved its adoption: BE IT RESOLVED that the Village of Mount Prospect, Illinois, make application to the Federal Emergency Adminis- • tration of Public Works for a loan to defray the cost of the construction of a 250,000 gallon capacity underground water storage reservoir with necessary booster pumps, to be con- structed and installed in connection with the improvement of the public water works system of the Village of Mount Prospect; and, BE I.T FURTHER RESOLVED that Messrs. Consoer, Older & Quinlan, engineers for this village, Hugo J. Thal, attorney for this village and A. L. Roderick, auditor, prepare the data and application for such loan, and that said firm of engineers be and they are hereby instructed to file said application with the proper authorities when completed. The motion for the adoption of said resolution was seconded by Mr. Budlong and the roll called with the following result: 'Mr. Budlong voting aye, Mr. Carlson.voting aye, Mr. Gould voting aye, Mr. Niebuhr sating aye and Mr. Wille voting aye. No one voting nay. Thereupon the President declared the motion for the adoption of said resolution duly carried. It was moved by Mr. Carlson that the Village procure (2' compensation insurance to protect all village employees and fire- men, and that, if necessary, existing policies be cancelled and rewritten in companies which will issue compensation policies covering all such employees and firemen. The motion was seconded by Mr. Gould and on call of the roll was unanimously carried. There being no further business to come before the meeting, same on motion made, seconded and carried was adjourned. 0 0
