HomeMy WebLinkAbout09/05/1933 VB minutes A MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE VILLAGE BOARD.OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, ILLINOIS, HELD IN VILLAGE HALL SEPTEMBER 5th, 1933 at 8 P.M. (--- The President called the meeting Ito order with Trustees, Budlong, Carlson, Gaul, Gould, Niebuhr and Wille present. Minutes of the meetings of Aug 1st and Aug 18th were read and approved, motion being duly made seconded and carried. FUND Balance on hand last report 281.91 Moved by Trustee Carlson, seconded by Trustee Budlong that report be placed on file. Motion carried by vote of acclamation. The Clerk then presented the Special Assessment report for month of August, 1933. Trustee Gaul moved that report be placed on file, Trustee Wille seconded this motion and same carried by vote of acclamation. The following bills were presented for payment: R. F. Huecker, 22.26v. W. C. Mulso, Salary & Garage Rent 155.00A Geo. Whittenberg 140.00r- 4:: Jack's Sinclair Service 33.91 Alb. Mille Lbr & Coal Co. Material on account 50.001 Cook County Herald, adv bids for car 1.80p. Stamped env. 12.48 Felix Arfei repairing water leak 13.20 Trustee Carlson moved that bills be paid, Trustee Budlong seconded this motion and same carried by the following vote: Ayes, Budlong Carlson, Gaul, Niebuhr and Wille. Nays none. The President declared the motion carried and directed that proper vouchers be drawn. It was moved by Trustee Gould seconded by Trustee Gaul that bid of X3150 -00 rom Greenlee Const. Co. be accepted, and upon inspection of inside of tank f tier work is necessary, separate bid should be submitted. The P f t called the roll, Ayes, Budlong, Carlson, Gaul, Gould, Niebuhr and Wille. Nayse, none. The President declared the motion oarried. Thereupon it was moved by Trustee Gaul and seconded by Trustee /Vo / Carlson that AN ORDINANCE TO REVISE AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE REGULATION AND MANAGEMENT OF THE WATER WORK ';Je SYSTEM OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, AND ESTABLISHING RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR THE GOVERNMENT OF WATER CONSUMERS AND OTHERS, AND REGULATING CONNECTIONS WITH SAID SYSTEM AND ESTABLISHING RATES C4N CHARGE'S AND LICENSE FEES FOR PLUMBERS BE PASSED. The Prout&e t -k called the roll with the following results, ayes, Budlong, Carlson, Gaul, Gould, Niebuhr and Wille, Nays none. The President declared the motion carried. It was moved by Trustee Gould that a resolution for water storage reservoir having a capacity of 500,000 gallons with necessary pumping equipment and shelter form�s� �me be passed. This motion was seconded by Trustee Gaul. The Praraent then called the roll. Ayes, Budlong, Carlson, Gaul, Gould, Niebuhr and Wille. Nays none. The President declared the motion carried. Trustee Gaul moved that bids for police car be opened, motion was seconded by Trustee Wille and same carried by vote of acclamation. The clerk then read the following bids: R. F. Hueeker, Mt. It was moved by Trustee Budlong, seconded by Trustee Carlson that bids of police car be turned over to Police Committee for recommendation and report to Village Board on Sept. 12.1933. Motion carried by vote of acclamation. Trustee Carlson moved to follow out the report of the Auditor as set forth on Page 2 items. Trustee Gaul seconded this motion and same carried by vote of acclamation. Thereupon it was moved by Trustee Budlong and seconded and Trustee Carlson that cleanup day be held on Sept. 14, 1933. Motion carried by vote of acclamtion. Trustee Carlson moved that AN ORDINACE PROVIDING FOR THE LEVYING /V° AND ASSESSMENTOF TAXES FOR THE CURRENT FISCAL YEAR OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, ILLINOIS, COMMENCING MAY 1, 1933 AND ENDING /gg APRIL 30, 1934 .e sassed. This motion was seconded by Trustee Budlong. The P . ent then called the roll. Ayes, Budlong, Carlson, Gaul, Niebuhr and Mille, Nays, none. The President declared the motion carried. ti Thereupon the clerk read the following communication: ii Sept. 5, 1933 (:) To the Honorable Board of Trustees, of the Village of Mount Prospect, I11. • Gentlemen: By virtue of authority conferred upon me by Ordianoe I hereby appoint Albert Wille, Village Collector and respectfully ask your concurrence therein. Yours truly, signed Herman F. Meyn Village President. It was moved by Trustee Niebuhr and seconded by Trustee Wille th r. Albert Wille be appointed Village Collector. The nt called the roll, Ayes, Niebuhr and Wille. Nays Budlong, Carlson and Gaul. Motion not say carried. The Clerk then read the following communication: President of the Board and the Board of Trustees, Mount Prospect, I11. Gentlemen: I hereby tender my resignation as a Trustee of the Village of Mount Prospeot for the rea.on that I intend to reside permanently in Chicago within the near future. I appreciate having had the opportunity of working for the welfare of Mount Prospect with men of the calibre as you have proven yourselves to be, and regret that it is nec- essary to take this step. With best wishes to all, I am Yours very truly, signed Willies A. Gaul. It was moved by Trustee Carlson and seconded by Trustee Budlong that Mr. Gaul resignation be accepted. Motion carried by vote of acclamation. Moved by Trustee Carlson and seconded by Trustee Wille that meeting be adjourned until Sept 12, 1933 at 8 o'clock P.M. Motion carried. '
