HomeMy WebLinkAbout01/03/1933 VB minutes Minutes of Regular Meeting of The Village Board of The Village of Mount Prospect, held in The Village Board Rooms, January, 3rd, 1933 at the hour of eight o'clock P. M. President Meyn called the meeting to order with Trustees Barcroft, Budlong, Gaul, Gould, Niebuhr and Wille answering to roll call. Trustee Gaul moved that the minutes of the regular meeting held December, 6th, 1932 be approved as read. Trustee Gould seconded this motthon and the same carried by vote of acclamation. The following monthly report of the Village Treasurer was presented to the Village Board at this time: — General Fund Cook County Treasurer (Delinquent Tax) 46.39 w n w a 700.00 Robert M. Sweitzer (Hall Rent) 10.00 4716.39 Expenditures 4302.36 Deficit last report 9,957.99 10. Deficit 49,543.96 WATER FUN Balance on hand last meeting 48,888.49 Received from Edward L. Busse 321.99 119.210.48 Expenditures 163.00 Balance 49,047.48 WATER EXTEITTION FUND Balance on hand last report 4157.41 GENERAL FUND A. D. Busse Treas. 4: Trustee Gould moved that the Treasurer's report be accepted on placed on file. Trust Gaul seconded this motion and the same carried by vote of acclamation. Trustee Gaul moved that the Treasurer's report of receipts and disbursements of Special Assessment Funds be accepted and placed on file. Trustee Wille seconded this motion and the same carried by vote of acclamation. The Finance Committee presented the following bills and recommended payment of same:- D. Whittenberg (Salary) 125.0E4 Trustee Gould moved that the recommendations of the Finance Committee be accepted and that the 'res ident and Village Clerk be authorized to Josue warrants in payment of the bills. Trsutie Budlong seconded this motion and the same carried by the following roll call; "Ayes" Trustees Barcroft, Budlong, Gaul, Gould, NTiebuhr, and Wille. None voting "Kaye" the President declared the motion carried and dim /acted that the proper warrants be issued. Trustee Budlong introduced the following resolution and moved its WIMREAS an Association of Cook County Municipalities outside of Chicago has been organized for the purpose of promoting and maintaining the welfare and best interests of such municipalities, and WHEREAS membership in such Association appears to be desirable, therefore BE IT RESOLVED by the President and B and of Trustees of the Village ,of Mount Prospect that this municipality join the Association and that the Treastrer of the Village of Mount Prospect be authorized to foward a check for the amount of the annual dues to the reasurer of the aforedaid Association. Trustee Gaul seconded the motion to adopt the resolution and the roll was called with the following results : - "Ayes" Trustees Barcroft, Budlong, Gaul, Gould, Niehbuhr and Wille. None voting "Kaye" the President declared the motion carried and the Resolution as adopted. President Meyn appointed the Judiciary Committee consisting of Trustees Gaul, Budlong, and Gould as a Committee of three to keep in touch with the activities of The Suburban Area and Country Towns Association of Cook County and report on same to the Village Board. Trustee Wille moved that the President's Appointment be confirmed. Trustee Barcroft seconded this motion and the same carried by vote of acclamation. There being no further business to come before the Board at this time Trustee Gaould move that same adjour until the next regular meeting.
