HomeMy WebLinkAbout08/02/1932 VB minutes Minutes of the Regular Meeting of the Village Board of the Village of Mount p rospect, held in the Village Board Rooms, August, 2nd, 1932 at the hour of eight o'clock P. M. The i'resident called the meeting to order with Trustees Budlong, Gaul, Gould, Niebuhr and 'Mlle answering to roll call. Trustee Barcroft being absent. Trustee Gaul moved that the meinutes of the regular meeting held July, 5th, 1932, be approved as read. Trustee Budlong seconded this motion and the same carried by vote of acclamation. The following report of the Village Treasurer was presented to the Board at this time: — General Fund Cook County Treasurer (1930 Delinquent) 4450.00 (1930 " ) .30 George Tatge (Fines) 27.00 Edwin L. Prospect State Bank 14.10 Balance 441 3 Respectfully Submitt Trustee Budlong moved that the Treasurer's report be placed on file. Trustee Gould sedonded this motion and the same carried by vote of acc- lamation. Trustee Gaul moved that the Village Treasurer's report on receipts and disbursements on 3rpecu &al Assessment Dockets be placed on file. Trustee Wille seconded this motion and the same carried by vote of acc- lamation. The Village 81erk then presented the following bills for payment: - William Groenland 48.00 R Arthur H. (:: " " ►► n .36.E James B. Clow & Sons 2.10 Herman F. Meyn 28.04 N Trustee Gaul moved that the President and Village Clerk be authorized to issue the propermwarrants in payment of the bills. Trustee Niebuhr seconded this motion and the rollwas called with the following results; "Ayes" Trustees Budlong, Gaul, Gould, Niebubk and Wille, none voting "Naye" the President declared the motion as carried and directed that the proper warrants be issued in payment of the bills. Following considerable discudsion regarding Insurance Policys on Police Officers Mulso and Kob Trustee Gaul moved that the Village Clerk be instructed to pay the premium on these policys when due unless otherwise instructed. Trustee 'Mille seconded this motion and the roll was called with the following results: "Ayes" Trustees Budlong, Gaul, Gould, Niebuhr and Wille. None voting "Naye" the President declared the motion carried. Trustee Budlong moved that the matter of - - a .cation for Chief of Police Mulso be refered to the Police and Li - ; b Committee with power to act in the matter. Trustee Gaulsseconded this motion and the same carried by vote of acclamation. Trustee Budlong moved that the matter of hauling rubbish be refered ,✓' to Chief Mulso for action and that Summer Clean Up Day be set as August, 17th, 1932. Trustee Gaul seconded this motion and the same carried by vote of acclamation. Trustee Wille moved that the Contract with the Public Service Company of Northern Illinois for Street Lighting be approved and that the President and Village Clerk tae authorized to sign same in behalf of the Villaa^ � Mount prospect. Trustee Gaul sec nded this motion and the roll was called with the following resluts,; "Ayes" Trustees Budlong, Gaul, Gould, Niebuhr and Wille. None voting "Naye" the t'resident declared the motion carried . and directed that same be properly signed. Trustee Gould moved that the Village Clerk be authorized to draw a voucher for $200.00Kpayable to Frank Zaleskie as fees to defend the case of The Mount prospect State Bank vs. The Village of Mount krospect. Trustee Budlong seconded thsi motion and the roll was called with the following results; "Ayes" Trustees Budlong, Gaul, Gould, Niebuhr and Wille. None voting "Nays" the president declared the motion carried and directed that the proper voucher be drafted. There being no further business to come before the Village Board at this time Trustee Gaul moved that same adjour, Trustee Gould seconded this, motion and the same carried by vote of acclamat' n. • c (2
