HomeMy WebLinkAbout11/05/1930 VB minutes 0 Minutes of meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect, held November 4, 1930. The President called the meeting to order. The Clerk called the roll and all trustees responded present with the exception of Trustee Budiong. It was moved by Trustee Gaul, seconded by Trustee Gerken that we adjourn meeting until November 5th at eight o'clock P.M., on account of the general election. The motion was carried by five ayes and no nys. 1 minutes of the meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect, Illinois, held November 5, 1930. The President called the meeting to order. The Clerk called the roll and all were present. It was moved by Mr. Flesch, seconded by Mr. Gerken that minutes be approved as read. It was duly moved, seconded and carried that the following Public Service permits be granted: Install valves in certain.places in Mount Prospect. Gas service for Bred�'ille. Gas service for Albert `.'Mlle. Repair gas service at 302 vka.Pella •venue. Gas service for Albert Ville. It was moved by ar. Hudlong, seconded by Ir. Flesch that I11.Bell Telephone permit be granted to set poles on Henry Street. Carried. Moved,beconded and carried that we put in additional street lights as per Public Service Co., plan and add lights for the following places: George and Central Road; Albert and Central Road; Prospect and Central Road; Lincoln and George Streets. Roll call: Ayes - six. Nays - None. Moved by Trustee Gaul, seconded by Trustee Gerken to refer (✓ matter of one street light for Main and Northwest Highway and two lights for Emmerson and Highway to the street and sidewalk committe to get prices and report to the next meeting. Carried. Moved by Trustee Dresser, seconded by Trustee Flesch that we purchase Keystone Plunger Pump, for the sum of $2865.09, allowance on old pump $600.00,and return checks to the unsuccessful bidders. Roll Call: Ayes: Six. Nays: None. Moved by Trustee Gaul, seconded by Trustee Gerken to write letter to Mr. Lamb, Superintendent of highways, thanking him for the co- operation in the widening of the Northwest Highway. Carried. Moved by Trustee Gerken, seconded by Trustee Gaul to write letter to Mr. Terpening for the co-operation in obtaining the new station. Carried. Moved by +r. Budlong, seconded by Mr. Flesch to reduce Mrs. Clauuin's water bill to *1.50 and reprr meter. Carried. Moved by Mr. Gaul, seconded by Budiong that engineers send out bidding blanks for painting of water tank, same to be opened November 10, 1930. Duly moved, meeting adjourned to November 10, 1930. c Minutes of adjourned meeting of the Village Board held in the Village Hall, on November 10, 1930, at eight o'clock P.M., for the opening of bids on painting water tank. The President called the meeting to order, all trustees responding present. Mr. D. W. Budlong was appointed Secretary Yro Tem. Bids on water tank were opened and referred to the engineers to be analized and to report back immediately. Carried. It was moved by Trustee Barcroft, seconded by Trustee Gerken that the wollowing bills be paid: Champlin- Shealy Co., court abstract, etc - - - 141.30 D. d.
