D. 1928, at the hour of eight o'clock P.M, The Meeting was called tilt order by President Busse and on call of the roll the following were found to be present: Wiliiim Busse, president, and Messrs. Beigel, Haas, Heide, Mecklenburg, Noll and Pohlman. Absent: none. Thereupon the President declared the meeting duly organized for the transaction of business. . Minutes of the meetings of May 1st and May9th were read and same were on motion duly made approved. ROLL CALL ,yes, Seigel, Haas, Heide, Mecklenburg, Boll and Pohlman. Nays,. zone. Motion carried, ayes six, nays zone. Thereupon it was duly coved by Trustee Seigel, seconded by Trustee Pohlman that Offioer Sabel be authorized to buy a friction sire* and side staid for his mowtoroyole, at of sans not to exoeed #25.00. ROLL GILL Ayes, Beigel, Maas, Beide, Mecklenburg, Noll and Pohlman. Nays none. Motion carried, ayes six, nays none. . It was duly moved aeoo*ded and parried that He*ry Beigel be authorized to hire J. H. Gors to out curb for his driveway. C Thereupon the clerk read the foilwwing applioatio *s for permits: Village of Mount Prospect, Mount Prospect, I11/ Gentlemen* Application is hereby made to perform work as specified below; To reaair gas pipes at Main and Northwest Highway. To install gawleowskopipes at Elmhurst road 1 -2 -3 -4 south of Shabons Trail To repair and bring to grade valve box at Ridge Ave and Central Read To repair gas main at Central and Elmhurst Ave., To extend 2" gas wain ix Wills St. from a point 258 e/a Lincoln 34/ to apeint 326 farther south. To install 3/4" gas service pipes to lots 14 and 15 Block 3 in Lonnquist Country Club Sub. Publio Service So. sy D.j. W. Burt ie It was duly moved by Trustee Seigel, seconded by Trustee Heide that said permits be granted. Motion carried. Thereupon it was duly moved by Trustee Noll seconded by Trustee Mecklenburg that building permit for new school be granted with- out oharge. Carried It was duly moved seoonded and oarried that Er. Loanquiat be granted permit for his log cabin without oharge. There was presented an ordinance entitled; "Al ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR TSE NUMBERING OF `�- BUILDINGS IN THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COUNTY OF COOS AND STATE OF ILLINOI:3. It was moved by Trustee Nell seconded by Trustee Haas that said ordinance be passed. ROLL CALL Ayes, Seigel, Haas, Heide, Mecklenburg, Noll and Pohlman. Nays, none. Motion carried, ayes six, nays nose. Thereupon the President and Board of Trustees proceeded to canvass the vote oast at the special election held in said Village on the 2nd day of June, A. D.1928 and such oanvass diaoloeed that 64 votes had been oast at said election, which votes were oast as follows; For the proposition to issue $7500.00 in bonds to provide funds for the purpose of purchasing a fire truck and the construction of an extension to the Village Hall for housing same, eto /, 63 votes were oast. Against the A$ propostion to issue $78ee/po in bonds to provide *ands for the purpose of purchasing a fire truck and the construction of an extension to the Pillage Hall for housing same, eto., one vote was oast. Thereupon Mr. Pohlman presented the following resolution and moved ; its adoption: "It appearing that the Judges and Clerks heretofore appointed to serve at the speoial election held on the 2nd day of June A. B. 1928, have made a return of said election to this Board, and that Item a oanvass of the vote oast at said eleotion as made by the President and Board of Trustees that the proposition to issue $7500.00 in bonds to provide funds for the purpose'of purchasing a fire truck and the construotion of an extension to the Village Hall for housing same,. in the Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois, as provided by an ordinance passed and approved by the President and Board of Trustees of said village on the 9th day of May, A. D. 1928, received 63 votes in favor thereof and one vote against the same: THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE PROPOSITION: "Shall bonds in the sum of $7500.00 for the purpose of obtaining funds for the purchase of a fire truck and the construction of an extension to the Village Hall for purpose of housing such fire truok, all as provided by an ordinance pas ed and approved by the President and Board of Trustees of the Pillage of Mount Prospeot, Illinois, on the 9th day of May, A.D. 1928, entitled: "&* ordinance authorizing and direoteing the issuance of bonds of the Village of Mount Prospect Cook County, Illinois,to the sum of $7500.00, for the purpose of obtaining money for the purohase of a fire truck and the construction of an extension to the Village Hall for the purpose of housing such fire truck and providing for the collection of a direct annual tax for the payment of the principal and interest of said bonds," said bonds to be dated June 1, 1928, and to mature $500.00 ix the lst day of June of each �rstz of the years 1929 to 1933, both inclusive, and $1000.00 on the lst day of Jaen of each of the years 1934 to 1938, both incikusive, with interest at 5% per annum, payable semi - annually, be issued by the Village of Mount Prospect, is hereby deolared carried at said eleotion. The motion for the adoption of said resolution was seoonded by Mr/ Heide and the roll called with the following result: Mr. Beigel voting aye; Mr. Haas voting aye; Mra Heide voting aye; / Mr. Mecklenburg voting aye; Mr. Noll voting aye and Mr. Pohlman voting aye. Me one voting nay. Thereupon the President deolared the motion carried and the the resolution adopted. c Mr. Bell made a motion that the Clerk be directed to advertise for bids for the sale of the $7500.00 issue of fire truck bonds authorized to be issued by ordinance passed on the 9th day of May, 1928, and approved by the voters of said Village at a speoial election held on the 2nd day of June, 1928, auoh bids to be reoeived until eight o'olock P.M. on June 12, 1928. The Motion was seconded by Mr. Pohlman and on pall of the roll unanimously carried. Their being no further business to ooze before the meeting sane on notion made, seconded and carried was adjourned to Juen 12, 1928, at the hour of eight o'clock P.M. Minutes of adjourned seeking of the President and Board of Trustees of the Millaga of Mount Prospect, Illinois, held iat the Pillage Hall in said Village on the 12th day of June, A. D. 1928, at eight s'olook P.M., pursuant to adjournment. The meeting was called to order by President Busse and on call of the roll the following were found to be present: William Busse, President, and Messrs. Seigel, Naas, $iide,Holl and Pohlman. Absent; Mr, Mecklenburg. Thereupon the President deolared the meeting duly organised for the transaction of business. The President dnnet neddt tha .ethammeetripg had been adjourned to this date for the purpose of reoeiviag bids on the sale of the $7500.00 bond issue for fire truck, to be issued ix accordanoe with the provisions of an ordiaanoe passed on the 9th day of May, 1928, and as approved by the voters of the Pillage of Mount Prospect, at a special election held on the tad day of Jane, A. D. 1928, and it appearing that the Clerk had caused notice of the receiving of suoh bids to be given, as directed by the Board at the meeting of said Hoard held on June 5, 1928, suoh bids were on motion made, seconded and duly parried, publicly opened, and it was found that the following bids had been received; Mount Prospect State Bank $7500,00 and accrued interest; John P. Moehlim g - $7500.00 and accrued interes and $100.00 premium, It appearing that the bid of John P. Moehlimg was the highest bid received for said bonds, it was moved by Mr. Pohlman that said bonds be sold to said Johz P. Moehling at the prime of 7500.00 and accrued interest and $100.00 premium. The motion was seconded by Mr. Haas and on pall of the toll was unanimously carried. It was duly moved by Trustee Pohlman seconded by Trustee Naas that Supt. of Water works be directed to see to it the Mr. Welch be furnished with water and be oharged at usual rate. Motion carried. Thereupon ti was moved by Trustee Noll seconded by Trustee Heide that Chairman of Street and Sidewalk be authorised to hire help to take care of islands ix pavements, labor for same not to exoeed 60 cents per hour. - ROM, CALL Ay ea, Seigel, Haas, Heide, Noll and Pohlman. Hays zone, Motion carries, ayes five, nays none, It was moved by Trustee Pohlman seconded by Trustee Maas that clerk be directed to send letter to all subdividers to out weeds and Thistles. Carried. Thereupon the clerk read the following application for permit: June 11, 1928. Village of Mount Prospeot, Mount Prospect, I11. Gentlemen: 1 hereby make application for permission to out down five trees in 3look 2, Lot 2, 3,4 in Muses amd Wille Resubdivision, to be replaoed with elm or hard maple. Albert Wills. It was duly moved by Trustee Pohlman seconded by Trustee Haas that said permit be granted. Motion oarried. These being no further business to come before the meeting same on-mation made, seconded and carried was adjourned to June 22, 1928, at the hour of eight o'clock 1.M. June 22, 1928. Minutes of an adjourned meeting held The President called the meeting to order, the clerk called the roll, all trustees responding present. Thereupon the following ordinance was presented: "AN ORDINANCE MAKING APPROPRIATION FOR CORPORATE PURBOSES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, ILLINOIS, FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING MAY 1, 1928, and ending APRIL 30, 1929. BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect, in the County of Gook and State of Illinois: SECTION 1. That the following sums or so much thereof as may be authorized by law be and the same are hereby appropriated for the corporate purposes as hereinafter set forth of said Village, for the fiscal year beginning May 1, 1928, and ending April 30, 1929: For street lighting $2,000.00 For salaries of officers and employees 1,500.00 For fire equipment 700.00 For police protection 2,400.00 For health protection and drainage 100.00 For legal and judiciary expenses - 400.00 For incidental expenses 300.00 For election supplies 100.00 For tools and equipment 400.00 For street and sidewalk maintenance - - - - - - 1,700.00 For maintenance of public grounds and buildings 800.00 For public benefit installment in special assessments Nos. 1,2,14,15, and 26 1,900.00 For principal on First Waterworks bond, due April 1, 1929- 1,000.00 For interest on First Waterworks bond issue due April 1, 1929 - - 190.00 For principal on Waterworks Extension Bond No.3 due June 1, 1929 500.00 For interest on Waterworks Extension bond issue, due June 1, 1929 and December 1, 1929 262.50 For payment of installment and interest due in 1929 on Weller Greek Drainage District 735.00 For principal on Fire Truck bond No. 1 due June 1, 1929- - 500.00 For interest on Fire Truck bond issue due Decembr 1, 19?R Juno 1, 1929 and December 1, 1929 562.50 For Municipal Band, in accordance with authorization by voters in general election held in April, 1927 - - - 400.00 TOTAL $ 16,450.00 SECTION 2. All unexpended balances of any item or items of any appropriation made by this ordinance which may remain from time Ale to time in the above separate funds, may be transferred to any other fund to make up any deficiency in any other item or items of this ( " appropriation. • SECTION 3.
