Minutes of adjourned meeting of the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect, Illinois, held on the 9th day of May, 1928, pursuant to adjournment. The President called the meeting to order and on call of the roll the following were found to be present: William Busse, President, and Messrs. Seigel, Haas, Heide, Mecklenburgand7Pohlman. Absent: Mr. Noll. Thereupon it was duly moved by Trustee Haas, seconded by Trustee Beigel that bids be opened for sidewalk west side of Owen St. at the Public Park. The following bids were received: J. H. Gors, bid 1.00 per foot Joe Galvin " .96 " It was moved by Trustee Heide, seconded by Trustee Beigel that contract be awarded to J. H. Gors for $1.00 per. foot. ROLL CALL • Ayes, Beigel, Haas, Heide, Mecklenburg and Pohlman. Nays none. Motion carried, ayes five, nays none. It was moved by Trustee Haa3 , seconded by Trustee Mecklenburg /27 that ordinance fixing salaries of Board of Local Improvements be passed. ROLL CALL' Ayes, Beigel, Haas, Heide, Mecklenburg and Pohlman. Nays none. Motion carried, ayes five, nays none. There was presented an ordinance entitled: .- "An Ordinance authorizing and directing the issuance of bonds - 24` of the Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois, to the amount of Seventy -five Hundred Dollars ($7500.00) for the pur- pose of obtaining tioneyhfor the purchase of a fire truck and the contruction of an extension to the Village Hall for the purpose of housing such fire truck, and providing for the collection of a direct annual tax for the payment of the principal and interest of said bonds' ''� After a discussion of the same motion was made by Mr. Haas that the ordinance be passed. The Motion was Seconded by Mr. Pohlman and the roll cabled with the following result: Messrs. Beigel voting aye; Mr. Haas voting aye; Mr. Heide voting aye; Mr. Meck- lenburg voting aye; Mr. Pohlman voting aye. No one voting nay. Thereupon the President declared the ordinance passed. Thereupon Mr. Pohlman presented the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLVED; That a special election be and the same is hereby called to be held on the 2nd day of June, A.D. 1928, for the purpose of voting uron the propostion of appro ping an ordinance and bond issue provided for therein, which ordinance is entitled: * An Ordinance authorizing and directing the issuance of bonds of the Village of Mount Prospect, Crook County, Illinois, to the amount of Seventy -five Hundred Dollars ($7500.00) or the purpose of obtaining money for the purchase of a firetruck and the construction of an extension to the Village Hall for the purpose of housing such fire truck, and providing for the collection of a direct annual tax for the payment of the principal and interest of said bonds', passed by the President and Board of Trustees of said Village of Mount Prospect, on the 9th day of May, A. D. 1928, and approved by the President or`satid Village on the 9th day of May, A.D. 1928; AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That said election shall be held in the Village Hall in said Village of Mount Prospect, Illinois, and that the polls for said election shall be opened at six o'clock A. M. (Day light Savings Time) on said date and shall close at four o'clock (Daylight Savings Time) on said date. AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED; That notice of said election shall be given as required by law and that said election shall in all respect be held accoding to law and the statue in such cases made and pro - vided and the Ordinance of said Village of Mount Prospect. f The Motion for the adoption of said resolution was seconded by Mr. Beigel and the roll called vaith the following result: Mr. Beigel voting aye, Mr. Haas voting aye, Mr. Heide voting aye, Mr. Mecklenburg voting aye; Mr. Pohlman voting aye. No onevoting nay. Thereupon the President declared the motion carried and the resolution adopted. It was moved by Trustee Beigel, seconded by Trustee Pohlman that Chief of Police be authorized to purchase star and shield for Motorcycle Police and pair of hand cuffs not to exceed $20.00 ROLL CALL Ayes, Beigel, Haas, Heide, Mecklenburg and Pohlman. Nays none. Motion carried, ayes five, nays none. It was duly moved by Trustee Mecklenburg, seconded by Trustee Heide that Wm Kable be authorized to have phone installed in his house. ROLL CALL • Ayes, Seigel, Haas, Heide, Mecklenburg and Pohlman. Nays none. Motion carried ayes five, nays none. Thereupon it was duly moved by Trustee Haas, seconded by Trustee Mecklenburg that Village Clerk and Village Treasurer be authorized to pay Wm Mulso and Wm Kable twice a month. H 0., CALL `' Ayes, Beigel, Haas, Heide, Mecklenburg and Pohlman. Nays none. Motion carried, ayes five, nays none.
