Minutes of the meetings of November 6th and November 22nd, 1923, were read and same were, on motion duly made, seconded and carried, accepted as read. Busse & on - Service for installing meter, etc.108.54 1448.72 It was duly moved by trustee Haas, seconded by trustee Pohl- mann, that said bills be paid and the clerk be directed to issue warrants in payment of same. ROLL CALL Ayes: Gosch, Haas, Heide, Mecklenburg, Pohlmann. • Nays: None. Motion carried, ayes five, nays none. Thereupon trustee Pohlmann submitted his report of moneys received by him for water leads during the period that he acted as water leads collector and same was referred to the finance committee for audit. Thereupon it was moved by trustee Gosch seconded by trustee Mecklenburg, that the President be authorized and directed to sign and the clerk to countersign and issue a warrant for the sum of Al25.00 in favor of John Pohlmann, in payment for services rendered by him as water leads collector and supervision of installation of water service pipes. c ROLL CALL Ayes: Gosch , Haas, Heide, Mecklenburg. No t voting: Pohlmann. Nays: None. Motion carried, ayes four, nays none. Thereupon it was moved by trustee Pohlmann, seconded by trustee Haas, that the clerk be directed to purchase a star for the Chief of Police. ROLL CALL Ayes: Gosch , Haas, Heide, Mecklenburg, Pohlmann. Nays: None. Motion carried, ayes five, nays none. Thereupon it vas moved, seconded and carried that the clerk be directed to order application blanks for building permits and building permits, also other necessary blanks required by Building ordinance and Zoning ordinance. Thereupon the President appointed Henry J. chard ;'later =dates collector and asked the concurrence of the Board therein. It was duly moved by trustee Pohlmann, seconded by trustee Haas, that the appointment of the President be con - curred' in: ROLL CALL Ayes: Gosch, Haas, Heide, Mecklenburg, Pohlmann. Nays: None. Motion carried, ayes five, nays none. Thereupon the clerk read the following application for permission to install a driveway on Main Street. "To the Hdnorable Board of Trustees, Village of Mount Prospect: Gentlemen: - The undersigned respectfully represents that he is t?'e owner of the property located in the Village of Mount Prospect, known and described as: Lot "A" in Block One (1) in the Ernst Busse Addition to Mount Prospect, being a 1ubdivision of the South 543 feet of the East Half (.6.)of the c'outh 'Vest ':uarter ()of Section 34, Town 42, North, Range 11, East of tlir e Third Principal Meridian. He further represents that he maintained thereon for a number of years past, green houses, and conducts a general florist business on said premises. I'or the purpose of bringing fuel into said premises and for connecting a proper driveway from main Street in and upon said premises, the undersigned built a driveway from said Main Street over a ditch adjoining to said premises and before constructing same he laid a tile sewer in under it for the purpose of preventing the accumulation or stoppage of water. The undersigned respectfully asks for a permit to have and to maintain said driveway from Main Street to said premises as same is constructed at the present time and if in any manner or form said driveway does not comply with the reasonable rules and regulations of the Village of Mount Prospect, he is ready and willing to build and construct such driveway as may be directed by the said Board of Trustees. Wherefore the undersigned prays that he may have a permit to maintain said driveway on said premises. Respectfully submitted, (Signed) CHARLES J. HOME ER." It was duly moved, seconded and carried that said permit be granted, providing 12 inch vitrified tile be installed under @Rida,drive way Thereupon the clerk read an ordinance entitled, "An ordinance classifying, regulating and restricting the location of trades and industries and the location of buildings designed for specified uses; regulating and limiting the height and bulk of buildings hereafter erected or altered, regulating and limiting the intensity of the use of lot areas and re and determining the area of yards; courts and other open spaces within and surrounding such buildings; establishing the boundaries of districts for the said purpose; and prescribing penalties for the violation of its Provisions." It was duly moved by trustee Pohlmann, seconded by trustee Gosch, that said ordinance be passed. ROLL CALL Ayes: Gosch, Haas, Heide, Mecklenburg, Pohlmann. Nays: None. Motion carried, ayes five, nays none. On motion duly made, seconded and carried meeting adjourned. Minutes approved this day o January, 1924.
