HomeMy WebLinkAbout03/08/1923 VB minutes March 8th, 1923. The President called the meeting to order. The Clerk called the roll, all Trustees, excepting Trustees Haas and Jahncke, responding present. Thereupon Trustee Gosch introduced the following resolution. "Be it resolved, that the sum of A1193.00 be transferred to the Public Building fund as follows: From the Fire Protection Fund $525.00 " " Police " " 100.00 " ' Health & Drainage " 220.00 " Judiciary " 200.00 " " Contingent " 100.00 " " Street " 20.00 " " Street lighting " 28.00 It was duly moved by Trustee Gosch, seconded by Trustee Mecklenburg, that said resolution be adopted and that the Treasurer be authorized and directed to make said transfers. ROLL CALL Ayes: Clausing, Gosch, Hei?"e, Mecklenburg. Nays: None. Motion carried,- Ayes four - Nays none. Thereupon it was duly moved by Trustee Gosch, seconded by Trustee Mecklenburg that contract for the building of the Municipal Building be awarded to Henry Beigel at his bid price of $2,193.00, same being the lowest bid received, and that the Clerk be directed to return check of unsuccessful bidder and to return check of the successful bidder upon his signing contract and furnishing bond for the sum of A2,000.00 ROLL CALL. Ayes: Clausing, Gosch, Heide, Mecklenburg. Nays: None. Motion carried, - Ayes four - Nays none. Thereupon it was duly moved by Trustee Heide, seconded by Trustee Glausing, that the President and Clerk be twwwwwwwwomar Page Two. authorized and directed to sign contract and approve bond of Henry Beigel , on behalf of the Village. ROLL CALL. Ayes: Olausing, Gosch, Heide, Mecklenburg. Nays: None. Motion carried, Ayes four - Nays none. Thereupon the Clerk read the following applications for permission to dip up streets. T . March 8th, 1923. To the Honorable President and Members of the Village Board of the Villape of Mount Prospect, Illinois: Gentlemen: I hereby make application fdr permission to dig up Main Street - both sides - for the purpose of laying Drain Tiles, also to dig from said Drain Tile to various Lots on the east and west side of Man St. Signed Meier & Busse per William Busse, Jr. II. March 8, 1923. To the Honorable President and Members of the Village Board of the Village of Mount Prospect, Illinois: Gentlemen: I hereby make application for permission to connect cellar drain from Lot 19 and 20 in Block 11 to drain in Elm Street. Signed George Busse. It was duly moved, seconded and carried that said permits be granted, work to be done under the supervision of the Chairman of the Street and Sidewalk Committee and that each applicant be required to make a deposit of A10.00 as a guarantee that refill will be properly made, said $10.00 to be refunded upon order of the Village Board. • �. �.. I 'r I ""X § Page Three. Thereupon it ':vas moved, seconded and carried that Mr. Salter Scharringhausen; and Mr. Aug. Oldenburg be reruired to deposit A5.00 each, as a guarantee that refill of excavation in Streets, for which permission had been granted at last meeting, be properly made, said ;5.00 to be returned upon order of the Village Board. Thereupon it was duly moved, seconded and carried that the Clerk be directed to write to the Public Service Co. of Northern Illinois, advising them that in future ordinance in reference to digging up Street would be enforced. Thereupon Trustee Gosch requested permission to dip up ditch on North side of Central Road for the purpose of laying a 4 in. tile about six inches deep, from alley line between Ville Street and Pine Street to alley line between Pine Street and Elmhurst Road. It was duly moved, seconded and carried that said permit - be granted. On motion meeting adjourned. Minutes approved this 3 ~ day of April, 1923. •
