HomeMy WebLinkAbout02/06/1923 VB minutes 'February gth, 1923. The President called the meeting to order. The clerk called the roll, all trustees, excepting Trustee Haas, responding present. The Treasurer's report as follows was read and ordered placed on file: TREASURER'S REPORT. Corporate Fund. Balance on hand last meeting $905.89 Received from Henry J. Ehard 21.99 927.88 Expenditures 79.59 Balance $848.29 Water Works Bond Fund. Balance on hand last meeting $5,776.50 No Receipts and No Expenditures. Thereupon the clerk read the following bills, said bills having been approved by the proper committees. Public Service 0o. Jan. Street Lights....$63.73 Albert Willa - Hauling S. Pipe and Grave1.18.83 Wm. Busse & Son, Use of Car by Vil. Board..5.00 Ernest Gosch " re It " " " ..5.00 Total A92.56 It was duly moved by Trustee Mecklenburg, seconded by Trustee Jahncke,that said bills be paid and the clerk be directed to issue warrants for same. Roll Call Ayes: Clausing, Gosch, Heide, Jahncke, Mecklenburg. Nays: None. Motion carried, ayes - five, nays - none. Thereupon a representative of the Public Service Co. presented a contract for electric power for motor for pumping water in which said Public Service Co. agreed to furnish electric power at the rate of 2- cent per K. W. hour. It was duly moved by Trustee Jahncke, seconded by Trustee Mecklenburg, that the President be authorized and directed to sign said Contract. Roll Call: Ayes: Clausing, Gosch, Heide, Jahncke, Mecklenburg. Nays: None. Motion carried, ayes - five, nays - none. Thereupon it was moved by Trustee Heide, seconded by Trustee Gosch, that the Street and Side -walk Committee be authorized to hire Fred Biermann to clean snow off of side -walks when necessary. Roll Call: Ayes: Clausing, Gosch, Heide, Jahncke, Mecklenburg. Nays: None. Motion carried, ayes - five, nays - none. Thereupon contract of the Laitwieler Pumping Enp.ine Co. for the installing of one 100 gal. per minute pump equipped with electric motor,for the sum of $2,085.00, was presented said contract being accompanied with a bond for the sum of 2,000.00. It was duly moved by Trustee Mecklenburg, seconded by Trustee Jahncke, that contract and bond be approved and that the President and Clerk be authorized and directed to sin' same. Roll Call: Ayes: Clausing, Gosch, Heide, Jahncke, Mecklenburg. Nays: None. Motion carried, ayes - five, nays - none. Thereupon the clerk reported that he had received check for $28.00 from the R. F. Conway Co. for water pumped by them for 1.12 miles of concrete road from village well. It was duly moved, seconded and carried that said amount be credited to the Water Fund. Thereupon it was duly moved, seconded and carried that the Chairman of Street and Side -walk Committee be authorized to hire someone to cut down hedge on north side of Central Road.
