The clerk called the roll all trustees responding present.
Minutes of the meetings of May 2 and May 20th, 1922 were
C^ read and same were on motion duly made, seconded, and carried

Thereupon the treasurer's report as follows was read and
same was on motion duly made, seconded, and carried accepted as
read and ordered placed on file.

Thereupon the chairman of the Finance Committee reported
that the Finance Committee had audited the books of the clerk
and treasurer and that they had found same correct.

Thereupon the clerk read an ordinance making an appropria-
tion for corporate purposes of the village of Mount Prospeot,
Illinois, for the fiscal year beginning May let, 1922 and
ending April 30th, 1923,
It was duly moved by trustee Gosch, seconded by trustee
Haas that said ordinance be pasted.

Thereupon the clerk read the following bills,said bills

It was duly moved by trustee Haas seconded by trustee Gosch
that said bills be paid and the clerk be directed to issue warrants
for same.

Thereupon bond of Christian D. Busse Village Treasurer, for the
sum of $10,000.00, with Ernst Busse and Henry Haberkamp as
sureties , said bond having been duly acknowledged before a
notary publio was presented.
It was duly moved by trustee Gosch seconded by trustee Haas
that said bond be approved.

" Thereupon the clerk read the following lett from George
A. Quinlanm County Superintendent of Highways.
" To the President and the
Board of Trustees,
Mount Prospect, Ills.
Gentlemen ; -
On April 26th ,q1922, a set of plans and a letter from
this department was sent to you enumerating several features of the
oonstruction of the North West Highway lying within the Village of
Mount Prospect. A reply was requested, st.atingtthe action taken
by the Village Board, and their willingness to assume the respons-
ibility for damages resulting from the building of the highway in
accordance to these plans. To date no reply has been received.
Recently bids were received by the County for the
construction of this highway from the Seeger's Road to the
Arlington Heights Road, being for an 18 foot concrete pavement
with a 6 foot earth shoulder on each side of it.
For that portion lying in Mount Proapeat the plan calls
for the building of the road to a grade which olosbly approximates
the established village grade. The center line practically aoinoides
with tlir eenttr line of the present street, except ftR. the present
street, except for the changes to which your attention was called
in our previous communication. The surfaoe drainage is provided
for by dithces, generally 18 inches below the crown of the finished
roadway; except the side farthest from the railroad between the
Creamery and the Village Hall, the drainage is taken care of by
stone well catchbasins which deliver the run off water to an
existing 8 inch tile under this side of the road.
Rules and regulations of the State Department of Public
Works and Buildien prohibit the County from building entrance cul-
verts to private property within the oorporate limits of the
village. Accordingly none has been provided for.
Should any be deemed necessary, the village may use our plans
for the same, but must arrange either with the contractor who
is to construot the road or with some other contractor to build
them. Quantities of materials and unit prices as submitted by the
lowest bidder to the County will be furnished when necessary.
I must request that you will, as soon as possible, give
to me the written permit from the village to proceed with the
construction through Mount Prospect in aoeordanoe with the plans
as requested in our letter of April 26th, Until this permission
is obtained, construction cannot proceed through the village.

It was duly moved by trustee Gosoh seconded by trustee Haas
that the plans for paving of the Borth West Highway through the
Village of Mount Prospect as submitted by the County Superintendent
of Highways be approved and that the clerk be directed to notify
the County Superintendent of Highways of the action of the Board.

Thereupon it was duly move.,seconded and carried that the olerk
be directed to write to the Forest Glen Creamery Co. notifying them
that their Ioe House between the Creamery and their garage which
is partially on the street would have to be moved off of the said
street so as not to interfere with the progress of the paving of
the North West Highway.
Thereupon it was duly moved, seoonded, and carried that the
olerk be directed to refund $10L00 deposited by Mr. George Neitzke.
Thereupon the clerk reported that there were several automobile
owners and business people who had failed to apply for their
licence.
It was duly moved , seoonded, and carried that the clerk be
directed to send a final ten notice to the delingquent
licence payers.
Thereupon it was duly moved by trustee Haas seconded by " trustee
Gooch that the president be authorized to apptint ca;`. Qrtun tteion

Thereupon it was duly moved by trustee Haas, seconded by
trustee Gosoh that the Public grounds committee be authorized
to prepare and level the grounds on the public play grounds
and to build a baseball diamond thereon with -a - eagle back. stop.

Thereupon the clerk read the following communication and same
was ordered referred to the Police and Light Committee.
"To the Village Board,
Mt. Prospect, I11.
Dear Sirs,
We believe that one of the duties of the Board is the
removal of unnecessary disturbance. The attention of the Board
has on several different occasions , been called to the excessive
noise and vibration oaused by the Utility Battery engine and
exhaust. May we not expect the Board to take definite action
regarding the matter quite Boom?

'hereupon it was duly moved by trustee Heide seconded by
trustee Mecklenburg that the Village attorney be authorized: ant
tand?.directad td file an application with the Illinois _Commeroe
and Commission for permissicn to open a grade crossing across
• the railroad,tracks of the C. & N. W. R. W. Co., on Main Street.

Thereupon the president reported that the R. F. Conway Co./
contractors for the paving of the North West Highway had asked
foes permission to pump water from the Village well and to ui0 /same
in the mixing of their oonorete and had offered the sum of
4125.00 for the use of said well.
It was duly moved seoonded and carried that offer of R. F.
Conway Co. of 4125.00 for use of the Village well be accepted
upon their signing an agreement with the village in which they agreed
not to hinder in any way the installing of the village pump on sail
well when the village has prepared to install name and further
agreeing to turn the well overto the village
in the same condition in which they have received same.
Thereupon the president and members of the Board of Trustees
examined the plans of the laying of the water mains as submitted
by engineer Consoer.

It was duly moved seconded and carried that the meeting be ad-
journed to Tuesday evening June 13th 1922, at 8 o'clock P. M.
Minutes approved this duty of 1922.
