Minutes of the meeting of June 7th, 1921 were read and on motion (:: duly made seconded and oarried accepted as read. The Treasurer's Report as follows was read ordered placed on file. E. P. Rickard Drainage Work 6.00 Albert Wille Gravel and Tile .89.34 Northwestern Light & Power Co. June St. Lights `.58.33 Total 4, 153:67. It was duly moved by trustee Holste seconded by trustee Heide C that said bills be paid and the clerk be directed to issue warrants for same. Roll Call. Ayes: Bs ,gel, Clausing, Heide, HolSte, Mecklenburg. Nays: None. ' Motion carried ayes five, nays none. Thereupon the Chairman of the Police and Light Committee re- ported that rope on flag pole had been put over pulley by Mr. John Bensic. It was duly moved by trustee Heide seconded by trustee Beigel that the President be directed to sign and the Clerk to oountersign and issue a warrant for the sum of 48.00 to Mr John Bensio in pay - ment for putting rope on flag pole. Roll Call: Ayes : - Beigel, Clausing, Beide, HoIste, Mecklenburg. Nays : - None, Motion oarried ayes five, Nays none. Thereupon the clerk read the following applications for per- mission to dig up streets. Mr. Herman Busse. Application for permission to dig up Main Street from lot line Lot 12 in Blook 4 in Busse & Wile's Resub'd. in Mount Prospect to tile in said Main Street, for the purpose of laying a drain tile. Mr. Henry Behrens Jr. Application to dig up Lincoln Street from lot line Lot 26 in Waltemar Krause's addition to Mount Prospect for the purpose of laying a drain tile. It was duly moved seconded and carried that permission to dig up streets as applied for by Mr. Herman Busse and Mr. Henry Behrens (:2 Jr. be granted and that the digging up of Lincoln Street be done under the supervision of The Chairman of the Street and Sidewalk CommitteJ. Thereupon the clerk read the following Communication from Mrs. Louis Willa . " Village Board: About a year ago I spoke to Mr. Wuerffel about a muffler and extending exhaust pipe over sign board at the Utility but nothing was ever done. Now I pray the Village Beard to have something done, as it is imposible to leave our east windows open during the night with all that noise. Signed: -- Mrs. Wille. It was duly moved seconded and oarried that Mrs. Wills's comm- unication be referred to the Police and Lighting Committee they to take the matter up with the Utility Battery Co. Thereupon the clerk read an ordinance entitled an Ordinance for the levy and assessement of taxes for the current fiscal year begining May lst, 1921 and ending April 30, 1922. said ordinance being designated as ordinance No. 34. (:: Itwas duly moved by trustee Holste,seeonded by trustee Heide that said ordinance be passed. Roll Call. Ayes : - Beigel, Clausing, Heide, Holste, Mecklenburg. Nays:- None. 'Motion carried ayes five, Nays none. Thereupon the clerk read the names of those who had failed to apply bussiness , Vehicle and dog license. It was duly moved seconded and carried that the clerk be directed to write to delinquent License payers who had not applied for license by the middle of the month informing them that unless payment was made within ten days the matter would be turned over to the Police and Light Committee for collection. The Chairman of the Health and Drainage Committee reported that the committee on health and Drainage wre working on a scheme by which drainage of slough on the Northwest Highway could be accomplished and they asked for futher time which was granted.
