Minutes of the meeting of Nov. 4th 1920 were read and on motion duly made seconded and carried accepted as read. The Treasurer's report as follows was read and on motion duly made seconded and carried accepted as read and ordered placed on file. Treasurer's Report. 324.06 Balance on hand Nov..4th, 1920 Received from H. J. Ehard -- -Junk Licence- 1.00 Total Expenditures ",.161.O$ Balance on hand 1 •`• • ` Thereupon the olerk read the following bills said bills having been approved by the proper oommittees. Northwestern Light & Power Co. 450.00 John Meyn repairing scrapper 14.95 Chicago Telephone Co, .30 Edward Zinkel - - - -10 hrs cutting weeds at .75 7.50 Albert Greinke - -- 6 " n n n n- 4.50 Herman Heide 3 n n n n " -- 2.25 Total $79,50 It was duly moved by trustee Pohlmann seconded by trustee Holste that said bills be paid and the clerk be directed to issue warrants for same with the exception of the bills of Mr. Zinkel, Mr. Greinke and Mr.Heide said bills to be paid at the rate of $.50 per hour in -stead of .75 per hour. Roll Call. C Ayes: Beigel, Busse, Gosch, Haberkamp, Holste, Pohlman, . Nayes: None. Motion carried ayes six, nays none. Thereupon a plat dedicating a 'strip of land 66ft wide north of and adjoining the right of way of the Chicago & Northwestern Railway Co. from the west line of block 21 Plat of Mount Prospect being a Subd. in Seotion 12 T. 41 N. R. 11 E. to the west line of Busse's Eastern addition to Mt. Prospect in The E, 1/2 Sect. 12 T. 41 N. R. 11 East 3fd;P- M4Jwas.prasented. It was duly moved by trustee seconded by trustee Holste that said plat be approved and that the President be authorized and directed to sign and the clerk to countersign same for the Village. .Roll Call: ,yea:.' Beigel, Busse; Gosch, Haberkamp, Holste, Pohlman. Thereupon the olerk read the following resolution. "Whereas, the construction of the public highway known and designated as the Northwest Highway, from the County line at Barrington, Illinois, to Milwaukkee Avenue, Chicago, Illinois, to be located NortherXy of and approximately parallelling the right -of -way of the Chicago & Northwestern Railway Company, is about to be commenced, and Whereas approximately a half of mile of said highway to be oonstruoted and improved lies within the Village of Mount Prospect; and Whereas a part if not all of the roadway over which said highway will be costruoted is considerably above the grade for the curbs and sidewalks as heretofore established by said village; and Whereas the construction of similar highways heretofore in said village, the county offioials have not required the bringing of the road- ways to the Village grade; Now therefor be it resolved that it is the sense of this Board that the construction of the Northwest highway at any other grade than the grade as heretofore established by said village' would be unsightly and a detriment to the adjoining property owners, as well as to the interest of the village in general; and. Resolved futher that this Board hereby requests the Board of County Commissioners of Cook County to include in their plans and specifications for the oonstuotion of said Northwest Highway in said village , the construction of same at the village grade so that the same will be in conformity with the grade of the adjoining streets and avenues which have have heretofore or may hereafter be paved by said village; and Resolved futher that a copy of this resolution be presented to the honorable Board of County Commissioners of Cook County." It was duly moved by trustee Haberkamp seconded by trustee Beigel that said resolution be adopted Roll Call. Ayes: Beigel, Busse, Gosch, Haberkamp, Holste, Pohlman.
